atha khalvāyuṣmān subhūtirbhagavantametadavocat-prajñāpāramitāyāṃ bhagavaṃścaratā bodhisattvena mahāsattvena kathaṃ śūnyatāyāṃ parijayaḥ kartavyaḥ, kathaṃ vā śūnyatāsamādhiḥ samāpattavyaḥ? bhagavānāha-iha subhūte bodhisattvena mahāsattvena prajñāpāramitāyāṃ caratā rūpaṃ śūnyamiti pratyavekṣitavyam| evaṃ vedanā saṃjñā saṃskārāḥ| vijñānaṃ śūnyamiti pratyavekṣitavyam| tathā ca pratyavekṣitavyamavikṣiptayā cittasaṃtatyā yathā pratyavekṣamāṇo rūpamiti tāṃ dharmatāṃ dharmatayā na samanupaśyet| tāṃ ca asamanupaśyan dharmatāṃ na sākṣātkuryādbhūtakoṭim| evamukte āyuṣmān subhūtirbhagavantametadavocat-yadbhagavānevamāha-na bodhisattvena mahāsattvena śūnyatā sākṣātkartavyeti| kathaṃ bhagavan tasmin samādhau sthito bodhisattvo mahāsattvaḥ śūnyatāṃ na sākṣātkaroti? bhagavānāha-yataḥ subhūte bodhisattvo mahāsattvaḥ sarvākāravaropetāṃ śūnyatāṃ pratyavekṣate, na ca sākṣātkariṣyāmīti pratyavekṣate, na ca sākṣātkartavyeti pratyavekṣate, parijayaṃ kariṣyāmīti pratyavekṣate, parijayasyāyaṃ kālaḥ, nāyaṃ kālaḥ sākṣātkriyāyā iti pratyavekṣate, asamāhita evārambaṇe cittamupanibadhnāti-prajñāpāramitā ca me parigṛhītā bhaviṣyati, na ca sākṣātkṛteti|



atrāntarā bodhisattvo mahāsattvo na parihīyate bodhipakṣairdharmaiḥ, na ca āsravakṣayaṃ karoti, atra ca parijayaṃ karoti| yasmin samaye bodhisattvo mahāsattvaḥ śūnyatāsamādhivimokṣamukhena viharati, tasmin samaye bodhisattvena mahāsattvena ānimittena ca samādhinā vihartavyam, na ca ānimittaṃ sākṣātkartavyam| tatkasya hetoḥ? evamārūḍhakuśalamūladharmasamanvāgato hi bodhisattvo mahāsattvaḥ-paripākasyāyaṃ kālaḥ, nāyaṃ kālaḥ sākṣātkriyāyā iti pratyavekṣate| prajñāpāramitayā ca parigṛhīto bhūtakoṭiṃ na sākṣātkaroti| tadyathāpi nāma subhūte kaścideva puruṣaḥ paramaśūraśca bhavet, paramavīryasamanvāgataśca bhavet, dṛḍhapratiṣṭhānaśca bhavet, abhirūpaśca bhavet, prāsādikaśca bhavet, paramadarśanīyaśca bhavet, bahuguṇasamanvāgataśca bhavet, paramaguṇasamanvāgataśca bhavet, paramaiśvaryaśīlaśrutatyāgādiguṇaiśca samanvāgato bhavet, medhāvī ca bhavet, vacanasamarthaśca bhavet, pratibhānasaṃpannaśca bhavet, pratipattisaṃpannaśca bhavet, kālajñaśca bhavet, deśajñaśca bhavet, sthānajñaśca bhavet, iṣvastre ca paramagatiṃ gato bhavet, bahupraharaṇāvaraṇaśca bhavet, sarvāsu ca kalāsu paramakuśalo bhavet, supariniṣpannatayā sarveṣveva ca śilpasthāneṣu paramagatiko bhavet, smṛtimāṃśca bhavet, matimāṃśca bhavet, gatimāṃśca bhavet, dhṛtimāṃśca bhavet, nītimāṃśca bhavet, sarvaśāstraviśāradaśca bhavet, mitravāṃśca bhavet, arthavāṃśca bhavet, balavāṃśca bhavet, ahīnāṅgaśca bhavet, paripūrṇendriyaśca bhavet, sarvopakaraṇasaṃpannaśca bhavet, bahujanasya ca priyo manaāpaśca bhavet|



sa yadyadeva kiṃcitkāryamārabheta, tatra tatra sarvatra nistaraṇasamartho bhavet, nayena ca vyavaharet, sarvatra cāsya mahālābho bhavet| tena mahālābhena samanvāgataḥ san bahujanaṃ saṃvibhajet, satkartavyaṃ ca satkuryāt, gurukartavyaṃ ca gurukuryāt, mānayitavyaṃ ca mānayet, pūjayitavyaṃ ca pūjayet| tatkiṃ manyase subhūte api nu sa puruṣastatonidānaṃ bhūyasyā mātrayā āttamanasko bhavet, pramuditaśca bhavet, prītisaumanasyajātaśca bhavet? subhūtirāha evametadbhagavan, evametatsugata| bhagavānāha-sa khalu punaḥ subhūte puruṣastayā mahāsaṃpattyā samanvāgato mātāpitṛputradārān gṛhītvā kenacideva kāraṇasāmagrīyogena mahāṭavīkāntāraṃ pratipanno bhavet mahāpratibhayaṃ bālānāṃ bhīṣaṇaṃ romaharṣaṇam| sa tatra praviṣṭaḥ saṃstān mātāpitṛputradārānabhayenābhinimantrayet-mā bhaiṣṭa, mā bhaiṣṭa, ahamito yuṣmān mahābhayabhairavādaṭavīkāntārātkṣemeṇa svastinā śīghramapakrāmayiṣyāmi, śīghraṃ parimocayiṣyāmīti| tatra khalu punaḥ subhūte aṭavīkāntāre tasya puruṣasya bahavaḥ pratyarthikāḥ bahavaḥ pratyamitrāḥ pratyupasthitā bhaveyuḥ| tatkiṃ manyase subhūte api nu sa śūraḥ puruṣastaiḥ pratyarthikaiḥ pratyamitrairabhyutthitairavinivartyo dṛḍhavīryabalasamanvāgataḥ prajñāvānatisnigdhaḥ sānukrośo dhīro mahāsaṃbhārasamanvāgatastān mātāpitṛputradārān parityajya tato mahābhayabhairavādaṭavīkāntārādātmānamekamapakrāmayitavyaṃ manyeta? subhūtirāha-no hīdaṃ bhagavan| tatkasya hetoḥ? tathā hi bhagavaṃstasya puruṣasya tanmātāpitṛputradāramaparityaktam, ādhyātmikaśca bāhyaśca balavān saṃbhāraḥ| tasya tatra aṭavīkāntāre bahutarakāśca śūratarakarāśca dṛḍhapraharaṇatarakarāśca teṣāṃ pratyarthikānāṃ pratyamitrāṇāmanye udāratarakāḥ pratyarthikāḥ pratyamitrāstiṣṭhanti rakṣanti| te tasya pratyarthikāḥ pratyamitrā avatāraprekṣiṇo'vatāragaveṣiṇo'vatāraṃ na lapsyante| tena sa bhagavan pratibalaḥ puruṣo'kṣato'nupahatastanmātāpitṛputradāramātmānaṃ ca tato mahābhayabhairavādaṭavīkāntārācchaktaḥ kṣemeṇa svastinā śīghramapakrāmayituṃ yāvadgrāmaṃ vā nagaraṃ vā nigamaṃ vā anuprāptaḥ syāt||



evamukte bhagavānāyuṣmantaṃ subhūtimetadavocat-evameva subhūte bodhisattvo mahāsattvaḥ sarvasattvahitānukampī maitrīvihārī karuṇāvihārī muditāvihārī upekṣāvihārī upāyakauśalyena prajñāpāramitayā ca parigṛhītaḥ kuśalamūlāni samyagbuddhānujñātayā pariṇāmanayā pariṇāmya kiṃcāpi śūnyatāmānimittamapraṇihitaṃ ca samādhivimokṣamukhānyavatarati, na tveva bhūtakoṭiṃ sākṣātkaroti, yaduta śrāvakabhūmau vā pratyekabuddhabhūmau vā| tatkasya hetoḥ? tathā hyasya balavattamā dṛḍhatamāśca parigrāhakāḥ, yaduta prajñāpāramitā upāyakauśalyaṃ ca| tena asyāparityaktāḥ sarvasattvāḥ, tenaiṣa pratibalaḥ svastinā kṣemeṇa anuttarāṃ samyaksaṃbodhimabhisaṃboddhum| yasmin samaye subhūte bodhisattvo mahāsattvaḥ sarvasattvānāmantike maitrīcittamārambaṇīkṛtya tān paramayā maitryā paribadhnāti, atrāntare bodhisattvo mahāsattvaḥ kleśapakṣaṃ mārapakṣaṃ cātikramya śrāvakabhūmiṃ pratyekabuddhabhūmiṃ cātikramya tatra samādhāvavatiṣṭhate| aprāptaśca sa subhūte āsravakṣayaṃ paramapāramitāyāṃ śūnyatāyāṃ parijayaṃ karoti| yasmin samaye subhūte bodhisattvo mahāsattvaḥ śūnyatāsamādhivimokṣamukhena viharati, atrāntare bodhisattvo mahāsattvo na cedānīṃ nānimittena samādhinā viharati|



na cānena ānimittaḥ samādhiḥ sākṣātkṛto bhavati| tadyathāpi nāma subhūte pakṣī śakunirākāśe'ntarīkṣe carati, na ca bhūmau patati, na ca kaṃcinniśrayaṃ niśritya tiṣṭhati, ākāśa evāntarīkṣe viharati, na ca tatrāpi niśrito na pratiṣṭhitaḥ| evameva subhūte bodhisattvo mahāsattvaḥ śūnyatāvihāreṇa viharati, śūnyatāyāṃ parijayaṃ karoti, ānimittavihāreṇa ca viharati, ānimitte ca parijayaṃ karoti, apraṇihitavihāreṇa ca viharati, apraṇihite ca parijayaṃ karoti| na ca śūnyatāyāṃ vā ānimitte vā apraṇihite vā patatyaparipūrṇairbuddhadharmaiḥ| tadyathāpi nāma subhūte balavāniṣvastrācārya iṣvastraśikṣāyāṃ suśikṣitaḥ supariniṣṭhitaḥ| sa ūrdhvaṃ kāṇḍaṃ kṣipet| ūrdhvaṃ kāṇḍaṃ kṣiptvā tadanyaiḥ kāṇḍaistatkāṇḍaṃ bhūmau patat pratinivārayet, vārayet, tasya paurvakasya kāṇḍasya kāṇḍaparaṃparayā bhūmau patanaṃ na dadyāt, tāvattatkāṇḍaṃ bhūmau na patat, yāvannākāṅkṣet-aho batedaṃ kāṇḍaṃ bhūmau patediti| evameva subhūte bodhisattvo mahāsattvaḥ prajñāpāramitāyāṃ caran upāyakauśalyaparigṛhītaḥ tāvattāṃ paramāṃ bhūtakoṭiṃ na sākṣātkaroti, yāvanna tāni kuśalamūlānyanuttarāyāṃ samyaksaṃbodhau paripakvāni suparipakvāni| yadā tāni kuśalamūlānyanuttarāyāṃ samyaksaṃbodhau paripakvāni bhavanti suparipakvāni, tadā tāṃ paramāṃ bhūtakoṭiṃ sākṣātkaroti| tasmāttarhi subhūte bodhisattvena mahāsattvena prajñāpāramitāyāṃ caratā prajñāpāramitāṃ bhāvayatā evameteṣāṃ dharmāṇāṃ gambhīradharmatā pratyavekṣitavyā upanidhyātavyā, na ca sākṣātkartavyā||



evamukte āyuṣmān subhūtirbhagavantametadavocat-duṣkarakārako bhagavan bodhisattvo mahāsattvaḥ| paramaduṣkarakārako bhagavan bodhisattvo mahāsattvaḥ, yaḥ śūnyatāyāṃ carati, śūnyatayā ca viharati, śūnyatāṃ ca samādhiṃ samāpadyate, na ca bhūtakoṭiṃ sākṣātkaroti| atyāścaryamidaṃ bhagavan, paramāścaryamidaṃ sugata| evamukte bhagavānāyuṣmantaṃ subhūtimetadavocat-evametatsubhūte, evametat| duṣkarakārako bodhisattvo mahāsattvaḥ| paramaduṣkarakārako bodhisattvo mahāsattvaḥ yaḥ śūnyatāyāṃ carati, śūnyatāyāṃ ca viharati, śūnyatāṃ ca samādhiṃ samāpadyate, na ca bhūtakoṭiṃ sākṣātkaroti| tatkasya hetoḥ? tathā hi subhūte bodhisattvasya mahāsattvasya sarvasattvā aparityaktāḥ| tasyeme evaṃrūpāḥ praṇidhānaviśeṣā bhavanti-mayaite sarvasattvāḥ parimocayitavyā iti| yadā bodhisattvo mahāsattva evaṃ cittamabhinirharati-sarvasattvā mamāparityaktāḥ, mayaite parimocayitavyā iti, śūnyatāṃ ca samādhivimokṣamukhamabhinirharati, ānimittaṃ ca samādhivimokṣamukhamabhinirharati, apraṇihitaṃ ca samādhivimokṣamukhamabhinirharati, tadā upāyakauśalyasamanvāgato bodhisattvo mahāsattvo veditavyaḥ-nāyamantarā bhūtakoṭiṃ sākṣātkariṣyatyaparipūrṇairbuddhadharmaiḥ| tatkasya hetoḥ? tathā hi asyopāyakauśalyaṃ rakṣāṃ karoti| sa caivāsya cittotpādo yattasya sarvasattvā aparityaktāḥ| sa evamanena cittotpādenopāyakauśalyena samanvāgato'ntarā bhūtakoṭiṃ na sākṣātkaroti||



punaraparaṃ subhūte yadā bodhisattvo mahāsattva imāni gambhīrāṇi sthānāni pratyavekṣate, pratyavekṣitukāmo vā bhavati-tadyathā śūnyatāṃ samādhivimokṣamukham, ānimittaṃ samādhivimokṣamukham, apraṇihitaṃ samādhivimokṣamukham, tenaivaṃ cittamabhinirhartavyam-dīrgharātramamī sattvāḥ sattvasaṃjñayā upalambhe caranti| teṣāṃ sattvānāmupalambhadṛṣṭikānāmupalambhadṛṣṭiprahāṇāya anuttarāṃ samyaksaṃbodhimabhisaṃbudhya dharmaṃ deśayiṣyāmi| iti saṃcintya śūnyatāṃ samādhivimokṣamukhaṃ samāpadyate, na ca bhūtakoṭiṃ sākṣātkaroti| ānimittaṃ samādhivimokṣamukhaṃ samāpadyate, na ca bhūtakoṭiṃ sākṣātkaroti| apraṇihitaṃ samādhivimokṣamukhaṃ samāpadyate, na ca bhūtakoṭiṃ sākṣātkaroti| evaṃ bodhisattvo mahāsattvo'nena cittotpādena anena copāyakauśalyena samanvāgato nāntarā bhūtakoṭiṃ sākṣātkaroti, na ca parihīyate maitrīsamādhito na karuṇāmuditopekṣāsamādhitaḥ| tatkasya hetoḥ? upāyakauśalyaparigṛhīto hi bodhisattvo mahāsattvo bhūyasyā mātrayā vivardhate śuklairdharmaiḥ| tīkṣṇatarāṇi cāsya śraddhādīnīndriyāṇi bhavanti, balabodhyamārgaṃ ca pratilabhate||



punaraparaṃ subhūte bodhisattvasya mahāsattvasyaivaṃ bhavati-dīrgharātramamī sattvā dharmasaṃjñayā upalambhe caranti| teṣāmupalambhadṛṣṭikānāmupalambhadṛṣṭiprahāṇāya anuttarāṃ samyaksaṃbodhimabhisaṃbudhya dharmaṃ deśayiṣyāmīti| so'nena cittotpādena paurvakeṇa copāyakauśalyena samanvāgataḥ śūnyatāṃ samādhivimokṣamukhaṃ samāpadyate| na ca bhūtakoṭiṃ sākṣātkaroti| na ca parihīyate maitrīkaruṇāmuditopekṣāsamādhitaḥ| tatkasya hetoḥ? upāyakauśalyaparigṛhīto bodhisattvo mahāsattvo bhūyasyā mātrayā vivardhate śūklairdharmaiḥ| tīkṣṇatarāṇi cāsya śraddhādīnīndriyāṇi bhavanti| balabodhyaṅgāni mārgaṃ ca pratilabhate||



punaraparaṃ subhūte bodhisattvasya mahāsattvasyaivaṃ bhavati-dīrgharātramamī sattvā nimittasaṃjñayā nimitte caranti| teṣāṃ nimittasaṃjñāprahāṇāya anuttarāṃ samyaksaṃbodhimabhisaṃbudhya dharmaṃ deśayiṣyāmīti| sa ānimittaṃ samādhivimokṣamukhaṃ samāpadyate sattvānāṃ kṛtaśaḥ| so'nena cittotpādena paurvakeṇa copāyakauśalyena samanvāgataḥ ānimittaṃ samādhivimokṣamukhaṃ samāpadyate, na ca bhūtakoṭiṃ sākṣātkaroti| na ca parihīyate maitryāḥ karuṇāyā muditāyā upekṣāyāḥ sarvasamādhitaḥ| tatkasya hetoḥ? upāyakauśalyaparigṛhīto hi bodhisattvo mahāsattvo bhūyasyā mātrayā vivardhate śūklairdharmaiḥ| tīkṣṇatarāṇi cāsya śraddhādīnīndriyāṇi bhavanti| balāni bodhyaṅgāni mārgaṃ ca pratilabhate||



punaraparaṃ subhūte bodhisattvasya mahāsattvasyaivaṃ bhavati-dīrgharātramamī sattvā nityasaṃjñayā sukhasaṃjñayā ātmasaṃjñayā śubhasaṃjñayā ca viparyastāḥ| tathā kariṣyāmi yathā anuttarāṃ samyaksaṃbodhimabhisaṃbudhya nityasaṃjñāyāḥ sukhasaṃjñāyāḥ ātmasaṃjñāyāḥ śubhasaṃjñāyā viparyāsasya prahāṇāya dharmaṃ deśayiṣyāmi-anityametatsarvaṃ na nityamiti| duḥkhametatsarvaṃ na sukhamiti| anātmakametatsarvaṃ naitatsātmakamiti| aśubhametatsarvaṃ naitacchubhamiti| so'nena cittotpādena samanvāgataḥ paurvakeṇa copāyakauśalyena prajñāpāramitayā ca parigṛhīto nāntarā bhūtakoṭiṃ sākṣātkaroti aparipūrṇeṣu buddhadharmeṣu| evamapraṇihitaṃ samādhivimokṣamukhamupasaṃpadya viharati| na ca bhūtakoṭiṃ sākṣātkaroti| na ca parihīyate maitrīto vā karuṇāto vā muditāto vā upekṣāto vā| tatkasya hetoḥ? upāyakauśalyaparigṛhīto bodhisattvo mahāsattvo bhūyasyā mātrayā vivardhate śūklairdharmaiḥ| tīkṣṇatarāṇi cāsya śraddhādīnīndriyāṇi bhavanti| balāni bodhyaṅgāni mārgaṃ ca pratilabhate| yo hi kaścitsubhūte bodhisattvo mahāsattva imaṃ cittotpādamutpādayati, ityapīme sattvā dīrgharātramupalambhe caritāvinaḥ etarhyupalambhe caranti|



nimittasaṃjñāyāṃ caritāvinaḥ etarhyapi nimittasaṃjñāyāṃ caranti| viparyāse caritāvinaḥ etarhyapi viparyāse caranti| piṇḍasaṃjñāyāṃ caritāvinaḥ etarhyapi piṇḍasaṃjñāyāṃ caranti| abhūtasaṃjñāyāṃ caritāvinaḥ etarhyapi abhūtasaṃjñāyāṃ caranti| mithyādṛṣṭau caritāvinaḥ etarhyapi mithyādṛṣṭau caranti| tathā kariṣyāmi yathaiṣāmete doṣāḥ sarveṇa sarvaṃ sarvathā sarvaṃ na bhaviṣyanti, na prajñāsyante| ityevaṃ sarvasattvān samanvāharati| evaṃ ca bodhisattvo mahāsattvo'nena smṛtisamanvāhāreṇa anena cittotpādena samanvāgataḥ upāyakauśalyena ca samanvāgataḥ prajñāpāramitayā ca parigṛhītaḥ evameteṣāṃ gambhīrāṇāṃ dharmāṇāṃ dharmatāṃ pratyavekṣamāṇaḥ śūnyatāto vā ānimittato vā apraṇihitato vā anabhisaṃskārato vā anutpādato vā ajātito vā abhāvato vā| asthānametatsubhūte'navakāśaḥ, yatsa bodhisattvo mahāsattva evaṃ jñānasamanvāgato'nabhisaṃskāre vā patet, traidhātukena vā sārdhaṃ saṃvaset, naitatsthānaṃ vidyate||



evaṃ hi subhūte bodhisattvo mahāsattvaḥ paripraṣṭavyo bodhisattvena mahāsattvena anuttarāṃ samyaksaṃbodhimabhisaṃboddhukāmena-katameṣāṃ dharmāṇāṃ parijayaḥ kartavyaḥ? kiyadrūpāṇi ca cittānyabhinirhartavyāni? yāni cittānyabhinirharan bodhisattvo mahāsattvo na śūnyatāṃ sākṣātkaroti, na ānimittaṃ sākṣātkaroti, na apraṇihitaṃ sākṣātkaroti, na anabhisaṃskāraṃ sākṣātkaroti, na anutpādaṃ sākṣātkaroti, na ajātiṃ sākṣātkaroti, na abhāvaṃ sākṣātkaroti, prajñāpāramitāṃ ca bhāvayati| sacetsubhūte bodhisattvo mahāsattvo bodhisattvena mahāsattvenaivaṃ pṛṣṭa evaṃ vyākaroti-śūnyataiva bodhisattvena mahāsattvena manasi kartavyā| ānimittameva apraṇihitameva anabhisaṃskāra eva anutpāda eva ajātireva abhāva eva bodhisattvena mahāsattvena manasi kartavya iti| sacettaṃ sarvasattvāparityāgacittotpādaṃ nopadarśayet, upāyakauśalyaṃ vā na vyākuryāt, veditavyametatsubhūte nāyaṃ vyākṛto bodhisattvo mahāsattvo'nuttarāyāṃ samyaksaṃbodhāvavinivartanīyatve taiḥ paurvakaistathāgatairarhadbhiḥ samyaksaṃbuddhaiḥ| tatkasya hetoḥ? yo hyasāvavinivartanīyasya bodhisattvasya mahāsattvasyāveṇiko dharmaḥ, taṃ dharmaṃ na sūcayati, na prabhāvayati, nopadarśayati, na prajānāti, paripṛṣṭo na vyākaroti, na visarjayati, na tāṃ bhūmimavakrāmayati, yo'vinivartanīyasya bodhisattvasya mahāsattvasya bhūmiriti||



subhūtirāha-syātpunarbhagavan paryāyo yena paryāyeṇa bodhisattvo mahāsattvo'vinivartanīyo bhavet? bhagavānāha-syātsubhūte sa paryāyo yena paryāyeṇa sa bodhisattvo mahāsattvo'vinivartanīyo bhavet| sacedbodhisattvo mahāsattva imāṃ prajñāpāramitāṃ śrutvā vā aśrutvā va evaṃ pratipadyeta, evaṃ visarjayet-avinivartanīyo bodhisattvo mahāsattvo veditavyaḥ| subhūtirāha-tena hi bhagavan bahavo bodhāya caranti| alpakāḥ punarya evaṃ visarjayanti| bhagavānāha-tathā hi subhūte alpakāste bodhisattvā mahāsattvā ye vyākṛtā avinivartanīyāyāṃ jñānabhūmau| ye punaste vyākṛtā bhaviṣyanti, te evaṃ visarjayiṣyanti| te te bodhisattvā mahāsattvā uttaptāvaropitakuśalamūlā veditavyāḥ| te te bodhisattvā mahāsattvā asaṃhāryāḥ sadevamānuṣāsureṇa lokena| sacetpunaḥ subhūte bodhisattvo mahāsattvaḥ svapnāntaragato'pi svapnopamāḥ sarvadharmā iti vyavalokayati, na ca sākṣātkaroti, idamapi subhūte avinivartanīyasya bodhisattvasya mahāsattvasya avinivartanīyalakṣaṇaṃ veditavyam||



punaraparaṃ subhūte bodhisattvo mahāsattvaḥ svapnāntaragato'pi śrāvakabhūmau vā pratyekabuddhabhūmau vā traidhātukāya ca spṛhāmanuśaṃsācittaṃ notpādayati, idamapi subhūte avinivartanīyasya bodhisattvasya mahāsattvasya avinivartanīyalakṣaṇaṃ veditavyam||



punaraparaṃ subhūte bodhisattvo mahāsattvaḥ svapnāntaragato'pyanekaśatāyāḥ parṣado'nekasahasrāyā yāvadanekakoṭīniyutaśatasahasrāyāḥ parṣado madhyagataṃ maṇḍalamāle niṣaṇṇaṃ bhikṣusaṃghaparivṛtaṃ bodhisattvasaṃghapuraskṛtaṃ dharmaṃ deśayantaṃ tathāgatamarhantaṃ samyaksaṃbuddhamātmānaṃ paśyati| idamapi subhūte avinivartanīyasya bodhisattvasya mahāsattvasyāvinivartanīyalakṣaṇaṃ veditavyam||



punaraparaṃ subhūte bodhisattvo mahāsattvaḥ svapnāntaragato'pi vaihāyasamabhyudgamya sattvebhyo dharmaṃ deśayati, tāṃ ca vyāmaprabhāṃ saṃjānīte, tāṃśca bhikṣūnabhinirmimīte, ye'nyāsu dikṣu gatvā anyeṣu lokadhātuṣu buddhakṛtyaṃ kurvanti, dharmaṃ ca deśayanti| evamapi subhūte svapnāntaragatoa'vinivartanīyo bodhisattvo mahāsattvaḥ saṃjānīte| idamapi subhūte avinivartanīyasya bodhisattvasya mahāsattvasya avinivartanīyalakṣaṇaṃ veditavyam||



punaraparaṃ subhūte svapnāntaragato bodhisattvo mahāsattvo notrasyati, na saṃtrasyati, na saṃtrāsamāpadyate| grāmaghāte vā nagaraghāte vā nigamaghāte vā janapadaghāte vā rāṣṭraghāte vā agnidāhe vā vartamāne vyālamṛgān vā tato'nyānapi vā kṣudramṛgajātīn dṛṣṭvā śiraśchede vā pratyupasthite tato'nyānyapi vā mahābhayabhairavāṇi duḥkhadaurmanasyāni vā prāpya tato'nyeṣāmapi vā sattvānāṃ mahābhayabhairavāṇi duḥkhāni dṛṣṭvā nāsya bhayabhairavamutpadyate, notrasyati na saṃtrasyati na saṃtrāsamāpadyate| tataśca svapnāntarātprativibuddhasya samanantaravyutthitasyaivaṃ bhavati-svapnopamamidaṃ sarvaṃ traidhātukam| evaṃ ca mayā anuttarāṃ samyaksaṃbodhimabhisaṃbudhya samyagdeśayatā dharmo deśayitavya iti| idamapi subhūte avinivartanīyasya bodhisattvasya mahāsattvasya avinivartanīyalakṣaṇaṃ veditavyam||



punaraparaṃ subhūte avinivartanīyasya bodhisattvasya mahāsattvasya svapnāntaragatasya nairayikān sattvān dṛṣṭvā evaṃ bhavati-tathā kariṣyāmi yathā me'nuttarāṃ samyaksaṃbodhimabhisaṃbuddhasya buddhakṣetre sarveṇa sarvaṃ sarvathā sarvaṃ sarve'pyapāyā na bhaviṣyantīti| idamapi subhūte avinivartanīyasya bodhisattvasya mahāsattvasya apāyapariśuddhilakṣaṇaṃ veditavyam||



tatra subhūte kathaṃ vijñāyeta asyāvinivartanīyasya bodhisattvasya mahāsattvasya anuttarāṃ samyaksaṃbodhimabhisaṃbuddhasya buddhakṣetre sarveṇa sarvaṃ sarvathā sarvaṃ sarve'pyapāyā na bhaviṣyantīti? sacetsubhūte bodhisattvo mahāsattvaḥ svapnāntaragato'pi nirayagatāṃstiryakpretagatān vā sattvān dṛṣṭvā smṛtiṃ pratilabhate| sa tāṃ smṛtiṃ pratilabhya evaṃ cintayati-tathā kariṣyāmi yathā me'nuttarāṃ samyaksaṃbodhimabhisaṃbuddhasya buddhakṣetre sarveṇa sarvaṃ sarvathā sarvaṃ sarve'pyapāyā na bhaviṣyantīti| evaṃ subhūte bodhisattvasya mahāsattvasya apāyapariśuddhilakṣaṇaṃ veditavyam| idamapi subhūte avivartanīyasya bodhisattvasya mahāsattvasya avinivartanīyalakṣaṇaṃ veditavyam||



punaraparaṃ subhūte svapnāntaragato bodhisattvo mahāsattvo nagaradāhe vā grāmadāhe vā vartamāne prativibuddhaḥ saṃstataḥ svapnādevaṃ samanvāharati yathā-mayā svapnāntaragatena ye ākārāḥ yāni liṅgāni yāni nimittāni dṛṣṭāni, yairākārairyairliṅgairyairnimittairavivartanīyo bodhisattvo mahāsattvo dhārayitavyaḥ, te ākārāstāni liṅgāni tāni nimittāni mama saṃvidyante| etena satyena satyavacanena ayaṃ nagaradāho vā grāmadāho vā vartamāna upaśāmyatu, śītibhavatu, astaṃ gacchatu| sacetsubhūte grāmadāho vā nagaradāho vā upaśāmyati, śītībhavati, astaṃ gacchati, veditavyametatsubhūte vyākṛto'yaṃ bodhisattvo mahāsattvastaiḥ paurvakaistathāgatairarhadbhiḥ samyaksaṃbuddhairavinivartanīyo'nuttarāyāḥ samyaksaṃbodheriti| sacennopaśāmyati, na śītībhavati, nāstaḥ gacchati, veditavyametatsubhūte nāyaṃ vyākṛto bodhisattvo mahāsattvo'nuttarāyāṃ samyaksaṃbodhāviti| sacetpunaḥ subhūte so'gnidāho'tikramya gṛhādgṛhaṃ rathyāyā rathyāmanyatarānyatarāṃ rathyāṃ vā gṛhaṃ vā gacchati, dahati, nopaśāmyati, na śītībhavati, nāstaṃ gacchati, veditavyametatsubhūte dharmapratyākhyānaṃ duṣprajñasaṃvartanīyaṃ tena bodhisattvena mahāsattvena karmopacitam| tato'syaitaddṛṣṭadharmasaṃvartanīyameva karma vipacyate| tata eva dharmapratyākhyānātsāvaśeṣaṃ karmaivaṃ vipacyate| ityayaṃ subhūte heturayaṃ pratyayo'sya bodhisattvasya mahāsattvasya avinivartanīyalakṣaṇatāyā iti| ayamapi subhūte bodhisattvo mahāsattvo'vinivartanīyo'nuttarāyāḥ samyaksaṃbodherdhārayitavyaḥ||



punaraparaṃ subhūte yairākārairyairliṅgairyairnimittairavinivartanīyo bodhisattvo mahāsattvo dhārayitavyaḥ, tānākārāṃstāni liṅgāni tāni nimittāni deśayiṣyāmi| tatsādhu ca suṣṭhu ca śṛṇu, manasi kuru, bhāṣiṣye'haṃ te| sādhu bhagavannityāyuṣmān subhūtirbhagavataḥ pratyaśrauṣīt| bhagavānetadavocat-sacetsubhūte kaścideva puruṣo vā strī vā dārako vā dārikā vā amanuṣyeṇa gṛhīto bhavedāviṣṭaḥ| tatra bodhisattvena mahāsattvena upasaṃkramya evamadhiṣṭhānaṃ samanvāhartavyam| sacedahaṃ haiḥ paurvakaistathāgatairarhadbhiḥ samyaksaṃbuddhairvyākṛto'nuttarāyāṃ samyaksaṃbodhau, pariśuddho me'dhyāśayaḥ anuttarāṃ samyaksaṃbodhimabhisaṃboddhum| yathāhamanuttarāṃ samyaksaṃbodhimabhisaṃboddhukāmaḥ, pariśuddho me manasikāro'nuttarāyāṃ samyaksaṃbodhau| apagataṃ me śrāvakacittaṃ pratyekabuddhacittaṃ ca, tena mayā anuttarā samyaksaṃbodhirabhisaṃboddhavyā| nāhaṃ nānuttarāṃ samyaksaṃbodhimabhisaṃbhotsye| abhisaṃbhotsya evāhamanuttarāṃ samyaksaṃbodhim| ye'pi te aprameyeṣvasaṃkhyeyeṣu lokadhātuṣu buddhā bhagavantastiṣṭhanti dhriyante yāpayanti, na teṣāṃ tathāgatānāmarhatāṃ samyaksaṃbuddhānāṃ kiṃcidajñātaṃ vā adṛṣṭaṃ vā aviditaṃ vā asākṣātkṛtaṃ vā anabhisaṃbuddhaṃ vā| yathā te buddhā bhagavanto jānanto mamādhyāśayam-ityapyahamanuttarāṃ samyaksaṃbodhimabhisaṃbhotsye iti| anena satyena satyavacanena iyaṃ strī vā puruṣo vā dārako vā dārikā vā yena amanuṣyagraheṇa gṛhīto vā āviṣṭo vā, so'pakrāmatu| sacetso'manuṣyaḥ evaṃ bhāṣamāṇena bodhisattvena mahāsattvena nāpakrāmati, veditavyametatsubhūte nāyaṃ vyākṛto bodhisattvo mahāsattvastaiḥ paurvakaistathāgatairarhadbhiḥ samyaksaṃbuddhairanuttarāyāṃ samyaksaṃbodhāviti| sacetpunaḥ subhūte evaṃ bhāṣamāṇasya bodhisattvasya mahāsattvasya so'manuṣyo'pakrāmati, vediṃtavyametatsubhūte vyākṛto'yaṃ bodhisattvo mahāsattvastaiḥ paurvakaistathāgatairarhadbhiḥ samyaksaṃbuddhairanuttarāyāṃ samyaksaṃbodhāviti||
