tatra labdhamanaskārasya yoginaḥ| evaṃ parīttaprahāṇaratipraviṣṭasya tadūrdhvaṃ dve gatī bhavataḥ| ananye| katame dve tadyathā| laukikī ca lokottarā ca|

tatrāyamādikarmiko yogācāraḥ| samanaskāraḥ| laukikayā vā gatyā gamiṣyāmi| lokottarayā veti| tameva manaskāraṃ bahulīkaroti| yathā yathā bahulīkaroti| tathā tathā sā praśrabdhiścittaikāgratā ca| teṣāṃ teṣāṃ rātridivasānāmatyayātpṛthuvṛddhivaipulyatāṃ gacchati| yadā cāsya dṛṣṭisthiraḥ kharaśca manaskāraḥ saṃvṛtto bhavati| pariśrabdhaścālambanādhimokṣaḥ| pravartate| śamathavipaśyanāpakṣyācca nimittānyudgṛhītāni bhavanti| tadā sa laukikena mārgeṇa gantukāmastatra ca prayogamārabhate lokottareṇa vā mārgeṇa [|]

tatra kati pudgalāḥ| ye dṛṣṭe dharme laukikenaiva mārgeṇa pṛ(ga)cchanti| na lokottareṇa| āha| catvārastadyathā sarvva ito bāhyakaḥ| iha dhārmiko[']pi mandaḥ| pūrvvaśamathacaritastathā bhūyo[']pyaparipakvakuśalamūlaḥ| bodhisattvasyāyatyāṃ bodhimanuprāptukāmaḥ| no tu dṛṣṭa eva dharme (|) amī catvāraḥ pudgalā dṛṣṭa eva dharme laukikamārgayāni (yi) no bhavanti|

tacca laukikamārgagamanaṃ dvividhaṃ| saka[la] bandhanānāñca pṛthagjanānāṃ, vikalabandhanānāṃ ca| śaikṣāṇāṃ|

tatpunaḥ katamat| kāmānāmaudārikatāṃ paśyataḥ, prathame ca dhyāne samāpattyupapattikleśāntatāṃ paśyatastatkāmavairāgyagamanamevaṃ yāvat| ākiñcanyāyatanavairāgyaṃ veditavyam| tathā asaṃjñisamāpattiḥ| dhyānasamāpattisanniśrayena ṣa[ḍvi]jñānānāṃ pañcānāmabhinirhāraḥ|

tatra kāmavairāgyāya prayukto yogī saptabhirmanaskāraiḥ| kāmavairāgyamanuprāpnoti| katame punaste sapta manaskārāḥ| āha| lakṣaṇapratisaṃvedī, ādhimokṣikaḥ, prāvivekyo, ratisaṃgrāhakaḥ| mīmānsā(māṃsā)manaskāraḥ| prayoganiṣṭhaḥ, prayoganiṣṭhāphalaśca|

tatra lakṣaṇapratisaṃvedī manaskāraḥ katamaḥ| āha| yena manaskāreṇa kāmānāmaudārikalakṣaṇaṃ pratisaṃvedayate| prathame ca dhyāne śāntalakṣaṇaṃ| kathaṃ ca punaraudārikalakṣaṇaṃ pratisaṃvedayati| āha| kāmānāṃ ṣaḍvastūni paryeṣamāṇaḥ arthanya svūlakṣaṇaṃ (arthaṃ, svalakṣaṇaṃ, sāmānyalakṣaṇaṃ)| pakṣaṃ kālaṃ yuktiñca|

tatraudārikārthaṃ tāvatparyeṣate| itīme kāmāḥ sādīnavā, bahūpadravā, bahvītikā, bahūpasargā iti| yā eṣu kāmeṣu bahvādīnavatā| yāvadbahūpasargatā| ayamaudārikārthaḥ| tatra vastu paryeṣate| astyadhyātmaṃ kāmeṣu kāma(c)chanda iti|

tatra svalakṣaṇaṃ paryeṣate| amī kleśakāmāḥ| amī vastukāmāḥ| te punaḥ sukhasthānīyā, duḥkha sthānīyā, aduḥkhasukhasthānīyāśca| sukhasthānīyāḥ kāmarāgādhiṣṭhānāḥ| saṃjñācittaviparyāsādhiṣṭhānāḥ| duḥkhasthānīyā[ḥ] punardveṣādhiṣṭhānāḥ krodhopanāhādhiṣṭhānāḥ| aduḥkhāsukhasthānīyāḥ mrakṣapradāśamāyāśāṭhyāhrīkyama(kyā)napatrāpyādhiṣṭhānā dṛṣṭiviparyāsādhiṣṭhānāśca| evamamī kāmāḥ praduṣṭavedanānugatāśca, pratyastakleśānugatāścaivaṃ kāmānāṃ svalakṣaṇaṃ paryeṣate|

tatra kathaṃ sāmānya lakṣaṇaṃ (|) paryeṣate| sarvva ete kāmā jātiduḥkhatayā, jarāduḥkhatayā (yā) vadicchāvighātaduḥkhatayā samasamamanubaddhāścānuśaktāśca| ye [']pikāmopabhogino mahatyāṃ kāmasampadivarta[n]te| te[']pi jātyādidharmatayā avinirmuktāstāvatkālikī sā teṣāṃ sampat| evaṃ sāmānyalakṣaṇaṃ paryeṣate|

kathaṃ pakṣaṃ paryeṣate| kṛṣṇapakṣapatitā ete kāmāḥ| asthikaṃkālopamā, mānsapeśyupamāstṛṇolkopamāḥ| aṃgārakarṣūpamāḥ| āśīviṣopamāḥ| svapnopamāḥ| yācikālaṃkāropamāḥ| tṛṇaphalopamāśca| paryeṣamāṇā api satvāḥ (ttvāḥ) kāmān paryeṣaṇākṛtaṃ (|) duḥkhaṃ pratisaṃvedayanti| ārakṣākṛtaṃ, snehaparibhraṃśakṛtamātṛptikṛta (|)masvātantryakṛtaṃ, duścaritakṛtaṃ, ca duḥkhaṃ pratisaṃvedayanti| pūrvvavadeva tāvatsarvvaṃ veditavyaṃ|

tathā kāmānpratiṣevataḥ| paṃcādīnavā uktāḥ| bhagavatā alpāsvādāḥ kāmāḥ bahusu(duḥ)khā, bahvādīnavāḥ [|] kāmānkhalu pratiṣevamāṇasya nāstyalaṃ tāva(t) tṛptitā ca paryāptitā vā, anena paryāyeṇa kāmā vigarhitā buddhaiḥ buddhaśrāvakaiśca sadbhiḥ samyaggataiḥ, satpuruṣaiḥ [|]

kāmānkhalu pratiṣevamāṇasya saṃyojanānyupacayaṃ gacchanti| nāsti cāsya kiṃcit pāpakamakuśalaṃ karmākaraṇīyaṃ vadāmi| itīme kāmā atṛptikārakā[ḥ]sādhāraṇā, adharmaviṣamacaryāhetavaḥ| kāmatṛṣṇāvivardhakāḥ, satāṃ vivarjanīyāḥ, kṣipramviṣayagāminaḥ, pratyayādhipā, pramādabhūmayo, riktā, anityāstucchā, mṛṣāmoṣadharmāṇo, māyopamāḥ, bālalāpanāḥ| ye ca dṛṣṭadhārmikāḥ (|) kāmāḥ, ye ca sāṃparāyikāḥ, ye ca divyāḥ, ye ca mānuṣyakāḥ| mā[ra]mārabhyaiṣa gocaro, mārasyaiṣa nivāpo yatreme['ne]kavidhāḥ pāpakā akuśalā dharmā mānasāḥ saṃbhavanti| yadutābhidhyā, vyāpādā [ḥ], saṃrambho vā, ye vā punarāntarāyikā bhavantyāryaśrāvakasyāśikṣamāṇasyānekaparyāyeṇa kṛṣṇapakṣapatitā ete kāmā yadbhūyasā [|]evampakṣaṃ paryeṣate|

atītānāgatapratyutpanneṣvadhvasu anityaṃ nityakālaṃ (ma) dhruvaṃ dhruvakālame te kāmāḥ| evaṃ bahūpadravāḥ, bahūpasargā, bahvādīnavā ityevaṃ kālamparyeṣate|

kathaṃ yuktiṃ paryeṣate| mahatā saṃrambheṇa, mahatyā paryeṣṭyā, mahatā pariśrameṇa vividhairvicitraiḥ śilpakarmasthānaiḥ kāmāḥ saṃhriyante| nirvvartyante, upacīyante [|] te punaḥ sūpacitā api, sunirvartitā api| yāvadeṣa bahirdhā parigrahavastunaḥ mātā (tṛ)pitṛputradāradāsīdāsakarmakarapauruṣeyamitrāmātyajñātisālohitānāṃ| asya vā punaḥ kāyasyādhyātmikasya rūpiṇa audārikasya cāturmahābhūtikasyaudanakalmāṣopacitasya nityotsadanasnapanapārimardanabhedana(c)chedana vikiraṇavidhvaṃnsa(dhvaṃsa)na dharmeṇa utpannotpannaduḥkhamātrapratīkārāya samvartante| kṣudduḥkhapratīkārāya bhojanaṃ| śītoṣṇaduḥkhapratīghātāya| hrīkopanapraticchādanāya (|) ca vastraṃ[|] nidrāklamaduḥkhapratīghātāya ca śayanāsanaṃ| caṃkramasthānaduḥkhapratighātāya ca| vyādhiduḥkhapratighātāya ca (|) glānabhaiṣajyamiti duḥkhapratīkārabhūtā ete kāmā iti| naite raktena paribhoktavyāḥ| na saktena nānyatra vyādhigrastenaivātureṇa vyādhimātropaśamāya bhaiṣajyamāptāgamo[']pyeṣaḥ| tathaite kāmāḥ evaṃ caivaṃ caudārikāḥ| pratyātmamapi me jñānadarśanaṃ pravarteta| ānumāniko[']pyeṣa vidhiḥ| prakṛtiścaiṣā kāmānāṃ anādikālikā prasiddhadharmatā acitta (-cintya?)dharmatā| sā na cintayitavyā(ḥ)| na vikalpayate (yitavye)tyevaṃ yuktimparyeṣate|

sa evaṃ kāmānāmaudārikalakṣaṇaṃ pratisaṃvejya yaduta ṣaḍbhirvastubhiḥ prathame dhyāne śāntalakṣaṇaṃ pratisaṃvedayati nāstyetatsarvaśa audārikatvaṃ (|) prathame dhyāne yadetatkāmadhātāvityanenaudārikalakṣaṇaṃ pratisaṃvedayate| prathame ca dhyāne śāntalakṣaṇamayamucyate lakṣaṇapratisaṃvedī manaskāraḥ| sa khalveṣa manaskāraḥ| śruta cintāvyavakīrṇṇoveditavyaḥ|

sa evaṃ kāmānparijñāya prathamaṃ dhyānaṃ prathamaṃ dhyānaṃ yathāvatparyeṣṭau(ṣyau)dārikaśāntalakṣaṇena śrutaṃ ca cintāṃ ca vyatikrāmyaikāntena bhāvanākāreṇaivādhimucyate| tannimittālambanāmeva śamathavipaśyanāṃ bhāvayati| bhāvayaṃśca yathā yathā tāmaudārikaśāntatāṃ punaḥ punaradhimucyataḥ| ityupapadyate| [ā]dhimokṣiko manaskāraḥ|

ta(ya)syāsevanānvayād bhāvanānvayādbahulīkārānvayāttatprathamataḥ kleśa(ḥ)prahāṇāya mārga utpadyate| kleśaprahāṇāya ca mārge samutpanne yastadbhagavato manaskāraḥ| ayamucyate prāvivekyaḥ|

sa tatprathamataḥ kāmāvacarakleśādipraheyaprahāṇāttatpakṣye dauṣṭhulyāpagamācca| tadūrdhvaṃ prahāṇārāmo bhavati| vivekārāmaḥ| tasmiṃśca prahāṇānuśaṃsadarśīparīttapravivekaprītisukhasaṃspṛṣṭaḥ kālena kālaṃ prasadanīyena manaskāreṇa| saṃpraharṣayati| saṃvejanīyena manaskāreṇa saṃvejayati| yāvadeva styānamiddhauddhatyāpagamāya (|)ayamucyate| ratisaṃgrāhako manaskāraḥ|

tasya tathā prahāṇārāmasya bhāvanārāmasya samyakprayuktasya sataḥ kuśalapakṣaprayogopastambhakāmapratisaṃyuktaṃ kleśakarmaparyavasthānaṃ carato vā viharato vā na samudācarati| tasyaivaṃ bhavati| kiṃ santamevāhaṃ kāmeṣu kāma (c) chandaṃ pratisamvedayāmyāhosvidasantamparimīmānsayitukāmaḥ| anyatamānyatamaṃ prasadanīyaṃ śubhanimittaṃ manasi karoti| tasyāprahīṇatvāt sarvveṇa sarvvamanuśayasya tannimittaṃ manasi kurvvataḥ sevanānimnaṃ cittaṃ bhavati| sevanāpravaṇaṃ| sevanāprābho(bhā)raṃ nāpekṣāpattiyutena nirvijugupsā(prati) vā niḥpratikūlatā| tasyaivaṃ bhavati| na me samyagviraktaṃ vimuktaṃ cittaṃ yaduta kāmebhyaḥ, saṃskārābhinigṛhītaṃ me cittaṃ vārivad dhṛtaṃ [|] dharmatābhinigṛhītaṃ (|) ya[n]nvahaṃ bhūyasyā mātrayā tasyānuśayasyāśeṣaprahāṇāya bhūyasyā mātrayā prahāṇārāmo vihareyaṃ| bhāvanārāmaḥ| ayamucte mīmānsāmanaskāraḥ|

sa bhūyasyā mātrayā prahāṇārāmo viharati| bhāvanārāmaḥ| śamathavipaśyanāyuktaḥ| paunaḥpunyena ca mīmānsate| tasya pratipakṣaṃ ca bhāvayataḥ kālena kālaṃ prahīṇā[']prahīṇatāṃ mīmānsamānasya sarvvebhyaḥ kāmāvacarebhyaḥ kleśebhyaścittaṃ visaṃyujyate| tāvatkālikayogena (|) na tvatyantādbījasamuddhāto bhavati| tasmiṃśca samaye prayogadhyānaprayogamārgaparyavasānagataḥ| sarvakleśaprātipakṣiko manaskāraḥ| samutpanno bhavatyayamucyate prayoganiṣṭho manaskāraḥ (|)

tasya ca samanaskārapratyayaṃ taddhetukaṃ prathamaṃ dhyānaṃ samāpadyate| maulaprathamadhyānasahagato yo manaskāraḥ| ayamucyate prayoganiṣṭhāphalo manaskāraḥ|

tatra prāvivekye manaskāre vartamāno, ratisaṃgrāhake ca vivekajena prītisukhena kāyaṃ pratiprīṇayati| kadācit kenacit pratanukasaṃmukhībhāvayogena prāyoganiṣṭhāmanaskārakālasyārati[ḥ]| kadācit kadācit dhyānavipulatarasaṃmukhībhāvena prayoganiṣṭhāphale punarmanaskāre vartamānasya nāsti kiñcidasyā(sya) bhavati| smāraṇīyaṃ sarvataḥ kāyādyuta(dyaduta) vivekajena prītisukhena sa tasmiṃ(smin) samaye viviktaiḥ kāmaiḥ viviktaṃ pāpakairakuśalairdharmaiḥ savitarkasavicāraṃ vivekajaṃ prītisukhaṃ prathamaṃ dhyānaṃ paṃcā[ṅ]gamupasampadya viharati| kāmāvacarapratipakṣabhāvanāphale sthitaḥ kāmavairāgya [tā] manuprāpta ityucte|

tatra lakṣaṇapratisaṃvedinā manaskāreṇa [|] yat prahātavyaṃ tat samyak prajānāti| prahātavyasya ca prahāṇāya prāptavyasya ca prāptaye cittaṃ praṇidhatte| ādhimokṣikeṇa ca manaskāreṇa prahāṇāya prāptaye ca samyak prayogamārabhate| prāvivekyamanaskāreṇādhimātrajña śāṃ(tāṃ)jahāti| ratisaṃgrāhakeṇa sa kleśaprakāraṃ jahāti| mīmānsāmanaskāreṇa prāptinirabhimānatāyāṃ cittamavasthāpayati| prayoganiṣṭhena mṛduṃ kleśaprakāraṃ jahāti| prayoganiṣṭhāphalenaiṣāṃ kleśaprakārāṇāṃ bhāvitānāṃ subhāvitānāṃ bhāvanāphalaṃ pratyanubhavati|

apica yaśca lakṣaṇapratisaṃvedī manaskāraḥ| yaścādhimokṣikaḥ| ayamucyate ānulomiko manaskāro[']pi dūṣaṇāpratipakṣasahagataḥ| yaśca prāvivekyo manaskāraḥ, yaśca prayoganiṣṭho[']yaṃ prātipakṣiko manaskāraḥ| prahāṇa-pratipakṣagavataḥ (-kṣagataḥ) [|] tatra yo ratisaṃgrāhako manaskāraḥ (|) ayaṃ prātipakṣikaśca prasadanīyaśca [|]

tatra yo mīmānsāmanaskāraḥ ayaṃ pratyavekṣaṇāmanaskāraḥ| ityucyate| evaṃ sati ṣaṭṣu manaskāreṣu catvāro manaskārāḥ pravighnā veditavyāḥ| tadyathā ānulomikaḥ| prātipakṣikaḥ| prasadanīyaḥ| pratyavekṣaṇīyaśceti|

yathā prathamadhyānasamāpattiḥ saptabhirmanaskārairevaṃ dvitīyatṛtīyacaturthadhyānasamāpattiḥ| ākāśavijñānākiṃcanyāyatananaivasaṃjñānāsaṃjñāyatanasamāpattiḥ saptabhireva manaskāraiḥ| tatra yena vitarkeṣvaudārikalakṣaṇaṃ pratisamvedayate| avitarkaśca dvitīyadhyāne śāntalakṣaṇaṃ sa lakṣaṇapratisaṃvedī manaskāraḥ| dvitīyadhyānasamāpattaye [|] tatra dhyānasamāpannaḥ| prathamadhyānalābhī vitarkeṣvaudārikatāmpaśyati| yaḥ samāhitabhūmiko[']pyugrālambanabhārī tatprathamopanipātitayā cālambane audāriko manojalpaḥ| ayambitarkastadanubandhānucārī vyagracāryevālambane sūkṣmataro manojalpaḥ vihāraḥ| ete punarvitarkavihā(cā)rāścai tasikāścetasyutpadyamānā utpadyante| sahabhuvaḥ saṃprayuktā[ḥ]| ekālambanavṛttayaḥ| evamete adhyātmamutpadyante|

bāhyāyatanasaṃgṛhītāśca| sarva eva cātītā, anāgatapratyutpannā, hetusamutpannāḥ, pratītyasamutpannāḥ, ākāyikāstāvatkalikāḥ| itvarapratyupasthāyinaścittasaṃkṣobhakarā, iṃjakā apraśāntākāreṇa vartante| uparimāṃ bhūmimārabhya duḥkhavihārānugatatvātkuṣṇapakṣyā kāmavivekaprītisukhamevānuśaṃsānugatā bhūmiścaiṣā tādṛśī prakṛtyā yatra sthitasya nityaṃ nityakālaṃ, dhruvaṃ dhruvakālaṃ, savitarkaḥ, savicāraḥ, cittapracāraḥ pravartate| na śāntapraśānta ityevamādibhirākārairvitarkeṣvaudārikalakṣaṇaṃ pratisaṃvedayate|

sarvaśo nāstyetadaudārikalakṣaṇamavitarkedvitīye dhyāne ityataḥ śāntaṃ dvitīyaṃ dhyānamasyaudārikatvasyāpagamāt| śeṣo(ṣe) manaskārā dvitīyadhyānasamāpattaye yathā(pi)yogaṃ pūrvvavadveditavyaṃ| evaṃ bhūmau bhūmau yāvannaivasaṃjñānāsaṃjñāyatanasamāpattaye yathāyogaṃ sapta manaskārā veditavyāḥ|

audārikalakṣaṇaṃ punaḥ sarvvāsvadharimāsu bhūmiṣu yāvadākiṃcanyāyatanāt samāsena dvividhaṃ veditavyaṃ| duḥkhataraṃ vihāvito(ritā) cādharmū(dhobhū) mīnāmapraśāntavihāritā ca| alpāyuṣkatarā ca| ityetad dvividhamaudārikalakṣaṇaṃ| ṣaḍbhirvastubhiryathāyogaṃ paryeṣate| yasyā yasyā bhūmervairāgyaṃ karttukāmo bhavatyupariṣṭācca yathāyogaṃ śāntalakṣaṇaṃ| yāvatprayoganiṣṭhāphalānmanaskārāttatra viviktaṃ kāmairiti|

dvividhāḥ kāmāḥ kleśakāmā vastukāmāśca[|] kāmavitarko[']pi dvividhaḥ| saṃprayogaviveka ālambanavivekaśca [|] viviktaṃ pāpakairakuśalairdharmairiti| upakleśāḥ kāmahetukā akuśalā dharmāstadyathā kāyaduścaritaṃ, vāgduścaritaṃ, manoduścaritaṃ| daṇḍādānaṃ śastrādānaṃ| kalahabhaṇḍanavigrahavivādaśāṭhyavañcananikṛtimṛṣāvādāḥ sambhavanti| teṣāmprahāṇādviviktaṃ pāpakairakuśalairdharmairavitarkavicāreṣvadoṣadarśanātsvabhūmikairvitarkavicāraiḥ kāmaprātipakṣikaiḥ kuśalaiḥ [|] savitarkaṃ savicāraṃ prayoganiṣṭho manaskāraḥ kāmavivekaṃ (kaḥ) tasyānantaramutpannaṃ(nnaḥ)| taddhetukaṃ (kas) tatpratyayaṃ (yas) tenāha vivekajamīpsitābhilaṣitārthasaṃprāptaḥ, prītau vā doṣadarśanāt| sarvadauṣṭhulyāpagamācca vipulapraśrabdhi cittakāyakarmaṇyatayā prītisukhamanupūrvveṇa gaṇayataḥ| tatprathamataśca kāmadhātūccalitāt prathamaṃ samyagālambanopanidhyānādekāgrasmṛtyupanibandhāddhyānaṃ prayoganiṣṭhāphalatvādupasampadya| uttaratra ca bhāvanābahulīkāraniṣpādanāt [|] nikāmalābhī, akṛcchralābhī, akisara(akṛtsna?) lābhī, tathā dhyānasamāpattyā rātrimatināmayati| divasamapi yāvadākāṃkṣamāṇaḥ saptarā triṃdivasāni tenāha viharatīti| savitarkasavicāraviviktebhyaścittamvyāvartayitvā (ttaṃ vyāvartya) avitarkā[']vicārasamādhinimitteṣūpanibadhnāti| vyagracāriṇa ālambanādvivecya avyagracāriṇyālambane ekadharmatayā śāntaṃ prasannaṃ cittaṃ pravarttate| vyavasthāpayati| tenāha vitarkavicārāṇāṃ vyupaśamādadhyātmasaṃprasādanātsabhāvanābhyāsāttasyaivā[']vitarkā[']vicārasya samādheḥ, vitarkavicārasya samādheḥ, sa[c]chidrasāntarāmavasthāmatikramya niśchidranirantarāmavasthāṃ prāpnoti| tenāha cetasa ekotībhāvāt sarvveṇa sarvvaṃ vitarkavicāraprahāṇādavitarkamavicāraṃ prayoganiṣṭho manaskāraḥ samādhistasyānantaraṃ taddhetukaṃ taṃtpra(kastatpra)tyayamutpa(yautpa)dyata iti| tenāha samādhijaṃ īpsitā[']ninditārthaprāpteḥ prītau vā doṣadarśanāt| sa saṃpraharṣagataṃ daurmanasyagataṃ vitarkavicāraprathamadhyānakleśapakṣasarvadauṣṭhulyāpagamāttatprātipakṣikapraśrabdhicittakāyakarmaṇyatāsuravānugatvāt| prītisukhamanupūrvveṇa gaṇayato dvitīyaṃ bhavatyevaṃ sarvvaṃ pūrvvavad veditavyam|

prītinimitteṣu doṣaṃ paśyati| tenāha prītervirāgāt[|] tasmiṃśca samaye dvividho[']sya cittakṣobhakaraḥ apakṣālo[']dhigato bhavati| niḥprītike tṛtīyadhyāne cittaṃ pradadhataḥ| dvitīye ca dhyāne vitarkavicārāḥ, etarhi ca prītiḥ, tenāha upekṣako viharati| etau hi dvau dharmau cittasaṃkṣobhakarau| nirantarāyā upekṣāyā vighnakārakau| tatra prathame dhyāne vitarkavicārā bhavanti| yena nirantaropekṣā na pravarttate| dvitīye dhyāne prītirbhavati| yenātrāpi nirantaropekṣā na pravarttate| tenāyaṃ dhyāyī prathamadvitīyeṣu(yayoḥ) dhyāneṣu(nayoḥ) nāsti, tena tṛtīye dhyāne upekṣako viharatītyucyate| sa upekṣakassanstathā(ssaṃstathā) tathopasthitasmṛtirviharati| yathā yathā te prītisahagatāḥ saṃjñāmanasikārāḥ samudācaranti| sa cetpunarabhāvitatvāt tṛtīyasya dhyānasya smṛtisaṃpramoṣātkadācitkarhicit citte prītisahagatāḥ saṃjñāmanasikārāḥ samudācaranti| tāṃ(tān) laghu laghveva prajñayā pratividhyati| samyageva prajānāti| utpannotpannāṃśca nādhivāsayati| prajahāti vinodayati| vyantīkaroti, cittamadhyupekṣate| tenāha smṛtaḥ saṃprajānā[na]iti| tasya tasminsamaye evamupekṣakasya viharatā smṛtasya saṃprajanya syāsevanānvayādbahulīkārānvayātprītisahagataṃ prahīyate| taccittauddhatyakaraṃ, niḥprītikaṃ, śāntaṃ, praśāntaṃ cetasi veditamutpadyate| prītiprātidvandvyena tasmin samaye rūpakāyena, manaḥkāyena vedita sukhaṃ ca praśrabdhisukhaṃ pratisamvedayate| tṛtīyācca dhyānāt| adhastadrūpaṃ sukhaṃ nāsti nāpi nirantarā upekṣā tṛtīyā[d]dhyānādūrdhvaṃ yadapyupekṣopalabhyate| na tu sukhaṃ| tatrādhaḥ sukhopekṣābhāvādūrdhvaṃ ca sukhābhāvāt| idaṃ tadāyatanaṃ yaduta tṛtīyaṃ dhyānaṃ yattadāryā ācakṣate| yatpratilambhavihāriṇaṃ pudgalamadhikṛtya smṛtimāṃ(mān) sukhavihārī tṛtīyaṃ dhyānamupasaṃpadya viharatīti āryāḥ punaḥ vṛddhāśca vṛddhaśrāvakāśca|

tatrātulyajātīyatvāt| pratipakṣasya sukhasya prahāṇapratipakṣānākhyātaḥ (kṣo'nākhyātaḥ)| yadeva tatpratipakṣakṛtaṃ sukhaprahāṇaṃ tadevākhyātaṃ| kaḥ punarasau pratipakṣaḥ| yadutopekṣā smṛtisamprajanyañca| tasya ca niṣevaṇābhyāsāttṛtīyadhyānāccalito yatra tṛtīyadhyānabhūmisukhaṃ tatprajahāti| tenāha| sukhasya ca prahāṇātpūrvvameva ca saumanasyadaurmanasyayorasta (ṅ)gamāt| tatra caturthadhyānasamāpattikāle tasmin samaye sa dhyāyī sukhaduḥkhavyatikramamanuprāpnoti| tena yaś(c)ca pūrvaprahīṇaṃ, yaścai(ccai)tarhi prahīyate| tasya saṃkalanaṃ kurvvannevamāha| sukhasya ca prahāṇāt(d), duḥkhasya ca prahāṇāt, pūrvvameva ca saumanasyadaurmanasyayorasta[ṅ]gamāt| tanna caturthadhyānasamāpattikāle sukhasya ca prahāṇāaddvitīyadhyānasamāpattikāle duḥkhasya, tṛtīyadhyānasamāpattikāle saumanasyasyā[']staṅgamāt, prathamadhyānasamāpattikāle daurmanasyasya, asti tāvatsukhaduḥkhasya(yoḥ) prahāṇādaduḥkhāsukhaivāsya vedanā, na viśiṣṭā bhavati| tenāha| aduḥkhāsukhā tasmin samaye prathamaṃ dhyānamupādāya sarvve adhobhūmikāḥ apakṣālāḥ prahīṇā bhavanti| tadyathā vitarkavicārāḥ, prītirāśvāsapraśvāsāḥ| teṣāṃ ca prahāṇādyā tatropekṣā| smṛtiśca sā pariśuddhā bhavati| paryavadātā, yenāsya etaccittaṃ caturthadhyānasamāpannasyāniṃjyaṃ santiṣṭhate| sarvveñjitāyatanaṃ| tenāha| upekṣāsmṛtipariśuddhamiti [|] tatra caturthamiti pūrvavad veditavyam|| yathāpramāṇādiṣu sthāneṣu||

tatrākāśādhimokṣasya varṇṇasaṃjñā nīlapītalohitāvadātādipratisaṃyuktatāmasātāmasātayā nirvirāgatayā ca samatikrānto bhavati| tenāha| rūpa saṃjñānāṃ samatikramādanābhāsagamanahetoryā anekavidhā bahunānāprakārā varṇṇapracayahetukā āvaraṇasaṃjñā sā (yā) sā vigatā bhavati| tenāha| pratighasaṃjñānāmasta[ṅ]gamāt, tāsāmvā punarvigamahetoryā aupacayikīsaṃjñāsteṣvavaśiṣṭeṣu viśiṣṭeṣu saṃghāteṣu pravṛttāstadyathā bhojanapānavastrālaṃkāragṛhodyānavanasenāparvvatādisaṃjñā[ḥ]| teṣu sarvveṇa sarvvamābhogo [']pyasya na pravartate| tenāha| nānātvasaṃjñānāmamanasikārāt| sa evaṃ rūpapratighanānātvasaṃjñā bhāvayitvā anantākāreṇā['']kāśādhimukto bhavati| tenāha| anantamākāśama(śaṃsa) sāmantakamatikramya prayoganiṣṭhānmanasikārāduccaprayoganiṣṭhāphalaṃ maulaṃ samāpadyate| tenāha| ākāśānantyāyatanamupasampadya viharati| tasya yāvanmaulaṃ na samāpadyate| tasyākāśamālambanaṃ samāpannasya punastacca tadanye ca skandhāḥ svabhūmikāḥ sāmantake punaradhobhūmikā api skandhāḥ|

samayena vijñānenānantamākāśamadhimucyate| tadeva vijñānamanantākārā['']kāśādhimokṣikaṃ| vijñānānantyāyatanaṃ samāpattukāmaḥ| ākāśānantyāyatanasaṃjñāṃ vyāvartya| tadeva vijñānamanantākāreṇādhimucyate| sasāmantake maulamākāśānantyāyatanaṃ samatikramyate| tenāha| sarvaśa ākāśānantyāyatanaṃ samatikramyānantaṃ vijñānamiti| sa vijñānānantyāyatanamiti sāmantakaṃ samatikramya yāvatprayoganiṣṭhānmanasikarānmaulaprayoganiṣṭhāphalaṃ samāpadyate| tenāha| vijñānānantyāyatanamupasampadya viharatīti|

sa vijñānānantyāyatanāduccalito vijñānāt pareṇā['']lambanaṃ samanveṣamāṇo na punarlabhate (|) kiñcana pratisaṃyuktaṃ rūpi vā, arūpi vā [|] sa tadālambanamalabhamānaḥ sasāmāntakamaulaṃ vijñānānantyāyatanaṃ [sa]matikramya nāsti kiñcidanyadā lambanamadhimucyate| so[a]kiñcanasaṃjñādhimukta eva bhavati| sa tasya saṃjñādhimokṣasya bahulīkārānvayādākiṃcanyāyatanasāmantakaṃ samatikramya yāvatprayoganiṣṭhā(n)manasikārānmaulaṃ prayoganiṣṭhāphale samāpadyate| tenāha| sarvaśo vijñānānantyāyatanaṃ samatikramya nāsti kiñcidityākiñcanyāyatanamupasaṃspṛśya (-sampadya) viharatīti|

tenāha| saṃjñī yadutā ['']kiñcanyāyatanāduccalitaḥ| ākiñcanyasaṃjñāyāmaudārikasaṃjñī ādīnavasaṃjñī ākiñcanyāyatanasaṃjñāṃ vyāvarttayati| tena pūrvamākiñcanyāyatanasamāpattikāle [a] kiñcanasaṃjñāsamatikrāntā, etarhyakiṃcanasaṃjñā samatikrāntā bhavati| tenāha saṃjñī yaduta kiñcanasaṃjñāyā vā, akiñcana saṃjñāyā vā, akiñcanasaṃjñā vā, na ca punaḥ sarvveṇa sarvvaṃ sāsya saṃjñā niruddhā bhavati| tadyathā āsaṃjñi [ke]vā, nirodhasamāpattau vā, nānyatra sūkṣmā sā saṃjñā nimittālambane pravartate| naiva saṃjñā nāsaṃjñā [|] evaṃ tadāyatanādhimuktaḥ sasāmantakamaulamākiñcanyāyatanaṃ samatikramya naiva saṃjñānāsaṃjñāyatanasāmantakasya yā vatprayoganiṣṭhānmanasikārāt prayoganiṣṭhāphalaṃ maulaṃ samāpadyate| tenāha| sarvaśa ākiñcanyāyatana[ṃ] samatikramya naiva saṃjñānāsaṃjñāyatanamupasampadya viharatīti||

tatra dhyānasamāpattikāle adho rasātalapraveśavat| kāyasaṃprakhyānaliṃgaṃ| ārūpyasamāpattikāle ākāśātpatanavat| tatra śamathākālenādhyupekṣaṇātsamyakprayogaḥ| tatra dve acittike samāpattī asaṃjñā(jñi) samāpattirnirodhasamāpattiśca| tatrāsaṃjñāsamāpatti [ṃ] saṃjñāvimukhena manaskāreṇa pṛthagjana eva samāpadyate, nirodhasamāpattiṃ punarārya eva|

tatra dvābhyāṃ manaskārābhyāmanayoḥ samāpattyoḥ samāpattipraveśo bhavati| tadyathā saṃjñāvimukhena manaskāreṇāsaṃjñā (jñi)samāpatteḥ, naivasaṃjñānāsaṃjñoccalitenālambanasanniruddhena ca manaskāreṇa nirodhasamāpatteḥ [|] tatra saṃjñārogaḥ, saṃjñāgaṇḍaḥ, saṃjñāśalyaḥ (maṃ), etacchāntametatpraṇītaṃ yadutāsaṃjñikamiti| saṃjñāvimukhaṃ manaskāraṃ parigṛhyotpannotpannāmasaṃjñāsmṛtyamanasikārānu (ramanu) careti (rati) [|] tasya bhāvanānvayātprayogamārge sacittikāvasthā bhavati| samanaskārasamāpannasya ca punaścittaṃ na pravartata iti| sa evaṃ niḥsaraṇasaṃjñā pūrvvakeṇa manaskāreṇa śubhakṛtyavītarāgasya, bṛhatphalebhyo vītarāgasya, cittacaitasikānāṃ dharmāṇāṃ nirodha iyamucyate [a]saṃjña (jñi)samāpattiḥ| evaṃ ca punarasyāḥ prāptirbhavati||

tatra naiva saṃjñānāsaṃjñāyatanalābhī āryaḥ pareṇa śāntena vihāreṇa viharttukāmaḥ naiva saṃjñānāsaṃjñāyatanāccittamuccā layati| taccittamuccalitamālambanaṃ na labhate| alabhamānaṃ nirudhyate| na pravarttata iti| ya evamākiñcanyāyatanavītarāgasya śaikṣasyārhato vā vihārasaṃjñāpūrvakeṇa manaskāreṇa cittacaitasikānāṃ dharmāṇāṃ nirodha iyamucyate nirodhasamāpattirevaṃ ca punarasyāḥ prāptirbhavati||

tatra dhyānasanniśrayeṇa paṃcānāmabhijñānāmabhinirhāro bhavati| kathaṃ ca punarbhavati| yathāpi taddhyāyī lābhī bhavati| pariśuddhasya dhyānasya [|] sa tatpariśuddhaṃ dhyānaṃ niśritya yo[a]nenābhijñādhipataye(pateyo) dharma[ḥ] śruto bhavatyudgṛhītaḥ, paryavāptaḥ, yaduta ṛddhiviṣayamvārabhya, pūrvvenivāsadivyaśrotracyutyupapādacetaḥ paryāyamvā tameva manasi kurvan samāhitabhūmikena manaskāreṇārthapratisaṃvedī ca bhavati| dharmapratisaṃvedī ca| tasyārthapratisaṃvedino dharma(ḥ)pratisaṃvedinastathāstathā (stathā tathā) cittānyabhisaṃskurvato bahulīkārānvayād bhavati| sa kālo bhavati samayo yadasya bhāja(va) nāphalāḥ (ḥ) paṃcābhijñā utpadyante||

api ca tasyā(sa tathā)rtha pratisaṃvedī, dharmapratisaṃvedī sarvābhijñānirhārāya dvādaśasaṃjñā bhāvayati| tadyathā laghu saṃjñā [ṃ]| mṛdusaṃjñā[ṃ]| ākāśadhātusaṃjñāṃ| kāyacittasama[va]dhānasaṃjñāmadhimuktisaṃjñāṃ, pūrvānubhūtacaryānukramānusmṛtisaṃjñāṃ nānāprakāraśabdasannipātanirghoṣasaṃjñāmavadātarūpanimittasaṃjñāṃ, kleśakṛtarūpavikārasaṃjñā[ma]dhimokṣasaṃjñāmamibhvāyatanasaṃjñāṃ kṛtsnāyatanasaṃjñāñca|

tatra laghusaṃjñāyāṃ laghukamātmānamadhimucyate| tadyathā tūlapindhurvvā, karpāsapindhurvvā [|] vāyumaṇḍalake vā sa tathā [a]dhimucyamānaḥ tatra prerayatyādhimokṣikeṇaiva manaskāreṇa [|] tadyathā mañcātpīṭhānmañce| evaṃ mañcāt tṛṇasaṃstarakānmañce| tatra mṛdusaṃjñā| mṛdukaṃ kāyamadhimucyate| tadyathā kauśayamvā, kaccamvā, padgamvā, [|] itīyaṃ mṛdusaṃjñāyā laghusaṃjñāyā [ḥ]poṣikā, anugrāhikā [ya]yā anugṛhyamāṇā laghusaṃjñā pṛthuvṛddhivaikalyatāṃ (vipulatāṃ) gacchati| tatrākāśadhātusaṃjñā yayā saṃjñayā laghutāṃ ca mṛdutāṃ cātmano[']dhimucyate| sa cet kvacid gantukāmo bhavati| tatra yadantarālaṃ vivandhacaraṃ rūpigataṃ gamanāya tadākāśamadhimucyate [|] ādhimokṣikaṃ (kena) ca manaskāreṇa| tatra cittakāyasamavadhānasaṃjñā yayā cittamvā kāye samavadadhāti| kāyamvā citte, yenāsya kāyo laghutaraśca bhavati, mṛdutaraśca, karmaṇyataraśca, prabhāsvarataraśca [|] cittānvayaścitta pratibandhaścittaṃ niśritya varttate| tatrādhimokṣikasaṃjñā yayā saṃjñayā bhū(dū)ragamāsanne[a]dhimucyate, āsannaṃ dūre, aṇu sthūlaṃ, sthūlamaṇu, pṛthivī āpaḥ, āpaḥ pṛthivī evamekaikena mahābhūtenā[']nyo[']nyaṃ karaṇīyaṃ| vistareṇa tathānirmitaṃ cādhimucyate, rūpanirmitaṃ vā, śabdanirmitaṃ vā[|]

ityābhiḥ pañcasaṃjñābhiḥ bhāvanāyā pariniṣpannābhiranekavidhamṛddhiṣayaṃ pratyanubhavatyeko bhūtvā bahudhātmānamupadarśayati| yadutādhimokṣikayā nairmāṇikayā(kyā)saṃjñayā tatra bahudhā punarātmānamupadarśayancai(yaṃścai)kī bhavati| yaduta nirmāṇāntardhāyikayā [a]dhimuktisaṃjñayā tiraḥkuḍyaṃ, tiraḥprākāramasajjamānena kāyena gacchati| yena gacchati| (yena gacchati)| pṛthivyāmunmajjanimajjanaṃ karoti| tadyathodake, udake bhidyamānena srātasā gacchati| tadyathā pṛthivyāmākāśe paryaṅkenākrāmati| tadyathā pakṣī śakuni[ḥ], imau vā sūryācandramasāvevaṃ mahardhikau mahānubhāvau pāṇinā āmārṣṭi| parāmārṣṭi| yāvadbrahmalokātkāyena vaśe varttayati| laghumṛdvākāśadhātucittakāyasamavadhānasaṃjñayā parigṛhītayā adhimuktisaṃjñayā sarvametatkaroti| yathāyogamveditavyaṃ| tatra dvividhābrahmalokasya kāyena vaśe vartanā, gamanena ca (|) vaśe varttayati| yathaivādhimuktyā vā, brahmalokādadhaścartukāmatā bhūtānāṃ tadekatyasya copādāyarūpasya [|]

tatra pūrvānubhūtacaritānukramānusmṛtisaṃjñā yayā kumārakabhāvamupādāya yatrāsya smṛtiḥ pravarttate| na vyāhanyate| yatrārya gato bhavati, sthito, niṣaṇṇuḥ(ṇṇaḥ), śayito vistareṇa sarvvāṃ pūrvānubhūtāṃ caryāmaudāraudārikaudārikatayā anuparivāṭikayā avyutkramanti(nte)| kayā samanusmaransaṃjānāti| tasyā bhāvanānvayād bhāvanāphalamanekavidhaṃ pūrvvenivāsaṃ samanusmarati yāvatsansā(saṃsā) raṃ soddeśaṃ vistareṇa [|] tatra nānāprakāraśabdasannipātanirghoṣasaṃjñā [|] yasmin grāme vā, nigame vā śreṇyāmvā, pūge vā, parṣadi vā, āyataviśāle vā gṛhe, avavarake vā, nānāprakārasya janakāyasya sanniṣaṇṇasya sannipatitasya yo vyatimiśro, vicitro, nirghoṣo niścarita| yaḥ kalakalaśabda ityucyate| mahatyā vā nadyā vaha[n] tyā nirghoṣaḥ, tatra nimittamudgṛhya yā saṃjñābhāvanā yayā samāhitabhūmikena manasikāreṇāryā[']nāryeṣu śabdeṣu, divyamānuṣyakeṣu, dūrāntikeṣvābhogaṃ vārayati| tasyāsya bahulīkārānvayād bhāvanāphalaṃ divyaṃ śrotraṃ pratilabhate| yena divyamānuṣyakāṃ [kān]śabdāṃ (bdān)śṛṇoti| ye[']pi dūre, ye['] pyantike [|] tatrāvabhāsarūpanimittasaṃjñā [|] pūrvvavadālokanimittamudgṛhya tadeva nimittaṃ manasi karoti| iyamavabhāsarūpa nimittasaṃjñā [|] tasyā bhāvanānvayād bhāvanāphalaṃ cyutyupapādajñānaṃ pratilabhate| yena divyena cakṣuṣā viśuddhena vistareṇa yāvatkāyasya bhedātsvargatau svargaloke deveṣūpapadyante(te)| tatra kleśakṛtarūpavikārasaṃjñā| yayā raktadviṣṭamūḍhānāṃ krodhopanāhapra [yu] ktaparidāhāhrīkyānapatrāpyakleśopakleśaparyavanaddhacittānāṃ sattvānāṃ rūpāvasthāmupalakṣayati| pari[c]chinatti [|] evaṃ rūpāraktasya rūpāvasthā bhavati| rūpavikṛtiḥ| tadyathā uddhatendriyatā, smitamukhatā [|] evaṃ rūpā dviṣṭasya rūpāvasthā bhavati| rūpavikṛtiḥ| tadyathā mukhavivarṇatā sagadgadasvaratā| kṛtabhṛkuṭitā| evaṃrūpā mūḍhasya paryavasthā bhavati| rūpavikṛtiḥ| tadyathā mūkatā arthanidhyaptāvapratipadyanatā (danatā) prākṛtā[']prākṛtā vā vāgvyāhāratā [|] ityebhirākārairevaṃ bhāgīyairyāvadāhrīkyānapatrāpyaparyavasthitasya yā rūpāvasthā bhavati| rūpavikṛtiḥ| tato nimittamudgṛhya manasi karoti| tadyathā bahulīkārānvayād bhāvanāphalaṃ cetaḥparyāyajñānamutpadyate| yena parasattvānāṃ parapudgalānāṃ vitarkitaṃ vicāritaṃ mano manasā yathābhūtaṃ prajānāti|

tatra vimokṣābhibhvāyatana-kṛtsnāyatanasaṃjñābhāvanā pūrvvavadveditavyā| tadyathā samāhitāyāṃ bhūmau| yayā bhāvanayā āryāmṛddhimabhinirharati| vastupariṇāminī[ṃ]nairmāṇikīmādhimokṣikīṃ| tadyathā araṇā praṇidhijñānaṃ| catasraḥ pratisamvidaḥ tadyathā dharmapratisaṃvidartha pratisaṃvinniruktipratisamvitpratibhānapratisamvit [|]

tatrāryāyāścānāryāyā ṛddherayaṃ viśeṣaḥ| āryayā ṛddhyā yadyadeva vastu pariṇāmayati| yadyadeva nimittaṃ nirmiṇoti| tattathaiva bhavati| nānyathā| sarvveṇa tena kāryaṃ śakyate kartum| anāryayā na punarna tathaiva bhavatyapi tu| māyākārakasyaiva saṃdarśana mātrakaṃ khyāti| evamābhirdvādaśabhiḥ saṃjñābhirbahulīkārānvayādyathāyogaṃ sa pañcānāmabhijñānāmāryāṇāṃ ca guṇānāmapṛthagjanasandhāraṇānāṃ yathāyogamabhinirhāro veditavyaḥ|

tatra prathame dhyāne mṛdumadhyādhimātraparibhāvitena yathāyogaṃ brahmakāyikānāṃ, brahmapurohitānāṃ, mahābrahmaṇāṃ devānāṃ sabhāgatāyāmupasampadyate [|] dvitīye dhyāne mṛdumadhyādhimātrabhāvite yathāyogaṃ parīttānāmābhāsvarāṇāṃ ca devānāṃ sabhāgatāyāmupasaṃpadyate| tṛtīye dhyāne mṛdumadhyādhimātrabhāvite yathāyogaṃ parīttaśubhānāṃ, sapramāṇaśubhānāṃ, śubhakṛtyānāṃ ca devānāṃ sabhāgatāyāmupasaṃpadyate| caturthe dhyāne mṛdumadhyādhimātrabhāvite yathāyogamanabhrakānāṃ, puṇyaprasavānāṃ, bṛhatphalānāṃ ca devānāṃ sabhāgatāyāmupasampadyate| sa cetpunaranāgāmī anāsraveṇa dhyānena caturthena sāsravaṃ, vyavakīrṇṇaṃ bhāvayati| tasmiṃ(smin)mṛdumadhyādhimātrādhimātratarādhimātratamabhāvite yathāyogaṃ pañcānāṃ śuddhāvāsānāṃ devānāṃ sa(ha)bhāgatāyāmupasampadyate| tadyathā adahe (hre)ṣvatāpeṣu, sudarśaneṣu, akaniṣṭheṣu[|] ākāśavijñānākiñcanya-naivasaṃjñānāsaṃjñāyatane mṛdumadhyādhimātrabhāvite ākāśavijñānākiñcanyanavasaṃjñānāsaṃjñāyatanopagānāṃ devānāṃ sabhāgatāyāmupasampadyate [|] arūpiṇaśca devāstasmātteṣāṃ sthānāntarakṛto bhedo nāsti, vihārakṛtastu viśeṣo bhavati| asaṃjñisamāpattyāṃ bhāvitāyāmasaṃjñisattvānāṃ devānāṃ sabhāgatāyāmupasampadyate|

tatra katamāni vītarāgasya liṃgāni| āha| sthirakāyakarmānto bhavatyacalendriyaḥ [|] na cāsyeryāpatha āśu paryādīyate| ekenāpīryāpathena ciraṃ kālamatināmayatyaparitasyamānaḥ| na tāśu(su)īryāntaraṃ spṛhayati| mandabhāṇī ca bhavati, praśāntabhāṇī ca[|]na saṃgaṇikārāmo, na saṃsargārāmo, dhīrā cāsya vāg(k)pravartate| cakṣuṣā rūpāṇi dṛṣṭvā rūpapratisamvedī bhavati| na rūparāgapratisamvedī| evaṃ śabdagandharasaspraṣṭavyapratisaṃvedī bhavati| no tu yāvatspraṣṭavyarāgapratisaṃvedī| viśāradaśca bhavati| gambhīrabuddhirvipulapraśrabdhicittakāyopagūḍhaḥ|| anabhidhyāluravikṣobhyaḥ| kṣamāvānna cāsya kāmavitarkādayaḥ pāpakāścittaṃ kṣobhayanti| ityevaṃ bhāgīyāni vītarāgaliṃgāni veditavyānītyayaṃ tāvat laukikamārgagamanasya vibhāgaḥ||

atha lokottareṇa mārgeṇa gantukāmo bhavati tasya catvāryāryasatyānyārabhya sapta manaskārā anupūrvveṇotpadyante| lakṣaṇapratisaṃvedī[di]manaskārādayaḥ prayoganiṣṭhāphalaparyavasānā yāvadarhattvaprāpteḥ| tatra caturṇṇāmāryasatyānāṃ soddeśavibhaṃgānāṃ śramaṇenodgṛhītayogācāraḥ| subhāvitamanaskāro vā, mauladhyānārūpyalābhī vā, caturbhirākārairduḥkhasatyasya lakṣaṇaṃ pratisaṃvedayate| tadyathā'nityākāreṇa, duḥkhākāreṇa, anātmākāreṇa ca| caturbhirākāraiḥ samudayasatyasya tadyathā hetutaḥ, samudayataḥ, prabhavataḥ, pratyayataśca [|] caturbhirākārairnirodhasatyasya lakṣaṇaṃ pratisamvedayate| tadyathā nirodhataḥ, śāntataḥ, praṇītato, niḥsaraṇataśca[|]caturbhirākārairmārgasatyasya lakṣaṇaṃ pratisamvedayate| tadyathā mārgato, nyāyataḥ pratipattito, nairyāṇikataśca| so[']sya bhavati lakṣaṇapratisaṃvedī manaskāraḥ||

tatra daśabhirākārairduḥkhasatyaṃ parīkṣamāṇaścatura ākārānanupraviśati| katamairdaśabhistadyathā| vipariṇāmākāreṇa, avināśākāreṇa, viyogākāreṇa, sannihitā [|] kāreṇa, dharmatākāreṇa| saṃyojanabandhanākāreṇa, aniṣṭākāreṇa, ayogakṣemākāreṇa, anupa(kāreṇa)lambhākāreṇa, asvātantrākāreṇa ca| etānpunardaśākārān upapattisādhanayuktyā upaparīkṣate|

tatrāgamastāvadyathoktaṃ bhagavatā sarvasaṃskārā anityāḥ [|] te punaḥ saṃskārāḥ samāsataḥ sattvalokaśca bhājanalokaśca|| uktañca bhagavatā sattvalokamadhikṛtya, paśyāmyahaṃ, bhikṣavo, divyena cakṣuṣā viśuddhenātikrāntamānuṣyakeṇa satvāṃścyavamānāṃścotpadyamānāṃśca vistareṇa yāvat kāsasya bhedātsugatau svargaloke deveṣūpapadyante| ityanena tāvatparyāyeṇa ityanena tāvatparyāyeṇa bhagavatā cakṣuṣmatā pratyakṣadarśinā sattvalokasyānityatā vyākhyātā| uktaṃcabhagavatā, bhavati, bhikṣavaḥ, sa samayo yaddīrghasyādhvano[']tyayādanupūrvveṇa yāvatsaptānāṃ sūryāṇāṃ loke prādurbhāvo bhavati| tadyathā saptasūryopame sūgre(tre)yāvadasyāḥ khalu mahāpṛthivyāḥ sumerośca parvvata rājasya| yāvacca brahmalokād bhājanalokasya dagdhasya dhmātasya maṣirapi na prajñāyate| chāyikāvaśiṣṭamapi na prajñāyate[|] anena paryāyeṇa bhagavatā bhājanalaukika (loka)sthānityatā ākhyātā'yaṃ(temaṃ) tāvadāptāgamaṃ niśrityāyaṃ yogī śraddhādhipateyaṃ sarvasaṃskārānityatāyāṃ niścayaṃ pratilabhate||

sa evamādhyātmika[ṃ] bāhyaṃ vastu vyavasthāpayitvā (vyāvasthāpya) [ā]dhyātmikasya tāvadvastunaḥ pratyakṣādhipateyena manaskāreṇa viparimāṇā(ṇāmā)kāreṇa vipariṇāmānityatāṃ samanveṣate| tatra[pañcada]śavidha ādhyātmikasya vastuno vipariṇāmaḥ| aṣṭau vipariṇāmakaraṇāni|

tatra katamaḥ [pañcada]śavidho vipariṇāmaḥ| ādhyātmikasya vastunastadyathā-avasthākṛto, varṇṇakṛtaḥ, saṃsthānakṛtaḥ, sampattivipattikṛtaḥ| aṃgasākalyavaikalyakṛtaḥ, [pariśramakṛtaḥ], paropakramakṛtaḥ, [śītoṣṇakṛtaḥ]| īryāpathakṛtaḥ, [svayaṃkṛtaḥ], saṃkleśakṛto(taḥ), [kṛṣikṛtaḥ], maraṇakṛto, vinīlakādi kṛtaḥ, sarvveṇa sarvvamasaṃprakhyānaparikṣayakṛto vipariṇāmaḥ|

tatrāṣṭau vipariṇāmakāraṇāni| katamāni [|] āha| tadyathā kālaparivāsaḥ, paropakrama upabhogaḥ, ṛtuvipariṇāmaḥ, agnidāhaḥ, udakakledaḥ, vāyuśoṣaḥ, pratyayāntarasaṃgatiśceti||

tatra kālaparivāso nāma yeṣāṃ bhāvānāṃ rūpiṇāṃ svasthāne[']pyupanyastakānāṃ kālāntareṇa jarjarato palabhyate| jīrṇṇatā rūpavikṛtiḥ||

tatra paropakramo nāma yathāpi tat paro vividhāni rūpāṇi vividhaiḥ praharaṇaiḥ vividhairupakramaviśeṣaiḥ vicitrāṃ vikṛtimāpādayati|

tatropabhogo nāma yathāpi tatpratisvāmino vividhaṃ rūpamupabhuṃjānā upabhogavidhipatitvā (gamadhipatiṃ kṛtvā vi) kṛtimāpādayanti|

tatra ṛtuvipariṇāmo nāma tadyathā hemante tṛṇauṣadhivanaspatīnāṃ pāṇḍutvaṃ, śīrṇṇatvaṃ prajāyate| grīṣmavarṣāsu punaḥ saṃpūrṇṇatvaṃ, haritatā ca| tathā phalasamṛddhiḥ, puṣpasamṛddhiḥ, patrasamṛddhiḥ, vipattiśca teṣāmeva [|]

tatrāgnidāho nāma yathāpi tadagnirmukto grāmanigamarāṣṭrarājadhānīrdahan paraiti|

tatrodakakledo nāma tathāpi tanmahān udakaskandhaḥ samudāgato (grāmanigamarājarāṣṭradhānīṃ dahan paraiti| tatrodakakledo nāma tathāpi tanmahānudakaskandhaḥ samudāgato) grāmanigamarājarāṣṭradhānī[ḥ] plāvayan paraiti||

tatra vāyuśoṣo nāma tathāpi tanmahatā vāyuskandhenārdrāḥ pṛthivīpradeśā laghu laghveva śuṣyanti| tathārdrāṇi vastūnyārdrāḥ sasyajātayaḥ|

pratyayāntarasamudgamo nāma tadyathā sukhavedanīyaṃ sparśaṃ pratītya sukhāṃ vedanāṃ vedayamānasya sukhavedanīya(ḥ)sparśasamudgamaḥ| [evaṃ duḥkhāṃ vedanāṃ vedayamānasya su(duḥ)kha vedanīya(ḥ) sparśasamudgamaḥ] aduḥkhāsukhāṃ vedanāṃ vedayamānasyā[']sukhavedanīyasya vā[']duḥkhavedanīyasya vā sparśasya samudgamaḥ| tathā raktasya pratighanimittasamudgamaḥ yasya samudgamādrāgaparyavasthānaṃ ca vigacchati| pratighaparyavasthānaṃ cotpadyate (|) evaṃ dviṣṭasya mūḍhasya visabhāgaḥ| kleśotpattinimittaḥ samudgamo veditavyaḥ| tadyathā cakṣurvijñāne saṃmukhī bhūte śabdaviṣayasamudgamaḥ| gandharasaspraṣṭavyāḥ| dharmanimitta samudgamo yena viṣayāntareṇa visabhāgānyutpadyante| itīmānyaṣṭau vipariṇāmakāraṇāni [|] yā kācidvipariṇatirbhavati| rūpiṇāmvā, arūpiṇāmvā, dharmāṇāṃ sarvvo(rvvā) sau ebhiraṣṭābhirnāta uttari nāto bhūyaḥ|

tatrādhyātmikasya vastunaḥ kathamavasthākṛtaṃ vipariṇāmamparyeṣate| ihānecā(nā)tmano [vā] pareṣāmvā dahrāvasthāmupādāya yāvajjīrṇāvasthā dṛṣṭā bhavati| tāṃ pūrvveṇāparāṃ visadṛśāṃ (śīṃ), vyatibhinnāṃ, vipariṇatāṃ, saṃskārasantatiṃ dṛṣṭvā[']syaivaṃ bhavati| anityā bata(te) me saṃskārā[s] tathāpyeṣāṃ pratyakṣata eveyaṃ pūrvvaṇāparā vikṛtirupalabhyate|

tatra kathaṃ suvarṇṇakṛtā(nāṃ) vipariṇāmānityatāṃ paryeṣate| ihānenātmano (sa tathātmano) vā, pareṣām vā, yā pūrvvaṃ(tāma) sva(su)varṇṇatā(tāṃ), succhavitā(tāṃ), tvagvarṇṇatā (tām)| paścācca durvvarṇṇatāṃ duśchavitāṃ rukṣatāṃ rukṣavarṇṇatāṃ ca| paśyati[|] dṛṣṭvā ca punareva pratyudāvarttyāpareṇa samayena tāmeva suvarṇṇatāṃ paryavadātatvagvarṇṇatāṃ ca paśyati| tasyaivaṃ bhavatyanityā bata(te)me saṃskārāṇā (rāsteṣā) miyamevaṃ rūpā pratyakṣato varṇṇavikṛtirupalabhyate|

tatra kathaṃ [saṃ] sthānakṛtāṃ vipariṇāmānityatāṃ paryeṣate| yathā varṇṇa ukta evaṃ kṛśasthūlatayā saṃsthānaṃ veditavyaṃ sampattirvipattiśca| tadyathā jñātisampattirvvā, bhogasampattirvvā, śīladṛṣṭisampattirvvā [|] etadviparyayeṇa vipattista (ttiḥ[|]ta) tkathamaṃgapratyaṃga vipariṇāmānityatāṃ paryeṣate| ihānenātmano vā, pareṣāmvā yā pūrvvaṃ suvarṇṇatā, succhavitā, paryavadātatvagvarṇṇatā dṛṣṭā bhavati| pa(pra)tisampattirvvā bhogasampattirvvā śīladṛṣṭisampattirvā (|) etadviparyayeṇa vipatti s(ḥ) [|]

tatkathamaṃgapratyaṃgavipariṇāmānityatāṃ paryeṣati(te)| ihānenātmano vā, parasya vā, pūrvvamapi (vi)kalāṃgatā dṛṣṭā bhavati| sopareṇa samayena vikalatāmpaśyati rājato vā, corato vā, manuṣyato vā, amanuṣyato vā[|] dṛṣṭvā ca punarasyaivaṃ bhavati| anityā bata(te)me saṃskārā iti pūrvvavade (t[|])|

(eva) mātmanaḥ pareṣāṃ ca śrāntakāyatāṃ, klāntakāyatāṃ dhāvato vā, plavato vā, laṃghayato vā, abhiru(ro)hatovā, vividhaṃ vākkarma drutaṃ kurvvataḥ| sopareṇa samayena vigataklamaśramatāṃ paśyati| tasyaivaṃ bhavatyanityā bateme saṃskārā iti pūrvvavat| evampariśramakṛtāṃ vipariṇāmānityatāmparyeṣate||

evamātmano vā pareṣāmvā paropakrameṇa kāyavikṛtiṃ paśyati| tadyathā latābhirvvā tāḍitasya, kaśābhirvvā, vaitrairvvā vara(ta)trābhirvvā [|] tathā vividhairdaśamaśakasarīsṛpasaṃsparśaiḥ [|] apareṇa vā punaḥ samayena tāṃ vikṛtiṃ na paśyati| dṛṣṭvā ca punarasyaivaṃ bhavatyanityā bata(te)me saṃskārā iti pūrvavadityevaṃ paropakramakṛtāmvipariṇāmānityatāmparyeṣate||

tathātmānaṃ vā, paramvā, śīla(ta)kāle pratyupasthite aviśadakāyaṃ, saṃkucitakāyaṃ, śītaparyavasthānaparyavasthitamuṣṇābhilāṣaparigataṃ paśyati| uṣṇakāle vā punaḥ pratyupasthite aviśadakāyaṃ, saṃkucitakāyaṃ śītaparyavasthānaparyavasthitaviśadagātraprasvinnagātraṃ santaptagātramucchraṣya vacanaṃ tṛṣāparigataṃ| śītasaṃsparśābhilāṣiṇaṃ paśyati| dṛṣṭvā ca punaḥ pratyudāvarttya punaḥ śītakāle pūrvvoktairevākāraiḥ paśyati| dṛṣṭvā ca punarasyaivaṃ bhavati| anityā bata(te)me saṃskārā iti pūrvvavadeva [ṃ] śītakṛtāṃ vipariṇāmānityatāṃ paryeṣate|

sa punaradhyātmamvā (rātmano vā) [pare]ṣāmvā caṃkramasthānaniṣadyaśayānairīryāpathairanyatamānyatameneryāpathena ātmānamvā paramvā paśyati| punastenaivamekadā anugṛhyamāṇaṃ paśyati| dṛṣṭvā ca punarasyaivaṃ bhavatyanityā bateme saṃskārā iti pūrvvavat| evamīryā pathakṛtāṃ vipariṇāmānityatāṃparyeṣate||

kathaṃ sparśakṛtāmvipariṇāmānityatāmparyeṣate| sukhavedanīyena sparśena spṛṣṭaḥ, sukhavedanīyaṃ sparśaṃ pratītyotpannāṃ sukhāṃ vedanāṃ vedayamānaḥ| sukhā[ṃ]vedanāvasthāmātmanaḥ pari[c]chinatti| yathā sukhadevanāvasthā[ṃ] evaṃ duḥkhā['] sukhā [']su(duḥ) khavedanāvasthāṃ [|] tasya pūrvvāṃ paryeṣaṇā āsāṃ vedanānāṃ navanavatāniḥpurāṇa purāṇatāmāpāyikatāṃ tāvatkālikatāmitvarapratyupāsthāyitamanyathībhāvaṃ dṛṣṭvā, dṛṣṭvaivaṃ bhavati| anityā bateme saṃskārā iti pūrvvat||

tatra kathaṃ kleśakṛtāṃ vipariṇāmānityatāṃ vyavacārayati| sarāgaṃ cittamutpannaṃ parijānāti| vigatarāgaṃ sadveṣamvigatadveṣaṃ| samohaṃ vigatamohamanyatamānyatamena vā upakleśenopakliṣṭaṃ cittamupakliṣṭamiti parijānāti| anupakliṣṭamvā punaranupakliṣṭamiti parijānāti| tasya pū(pau)rvvāparyeṇaibhiḥ kleśopakleśairavatīparṇavipariṇatā[']vipariṇatāṃcittasantatiṃ dṛṣṭvaivaṃ bhavatyanityā bateme saṃskārā iti| tathā hyeṣāṃ pratyakṣataḥ saṃkleśakṛto vipariṇāmaupalabhyate||

tatra kathaṃ vyādhikṛtāṃ vipariṇāmānityatāṃ vyavacārayati| ihānenaikadā['']tmā ca pare ca dṛṣṭvā(ṣṭā) bhavantyarogiṇaḥ, sukhino, balavantaḥ| so['] pareṇa samayena paśyatyātmānamvā, paramvā, ābādhikaṃ, duḥkhitaṃ, bāḍhaglānaṃ, spṛṣṭaṃ śārīrikābhirvedanābhiḥ duḥkhābhistīvrābhiriti vistareṇa pūrvvavat|

tatra kathaṃ kleśakṛtāṃ vipariṇā[mā]nityatāṃ vyavacārayati| ihānenaikadā['']tmā ca pare ca dṛṣṭvā (dṛṣṭā) bhavantyarogiṇaḥ, sukhino, balavantaḥ| sopareṇa samayena paśyatyātmānamvā, paramvā, ābādhikaṃ, duḥkhitaṃ, bāḍhaglānaṃ, spṛṣṭaṃ śārīrikābhirvedanābhiḥ| sa punarapareṇa samayena paśyatyarogiṇaṃ, sukhitaṃ, balavantaṃ, dṛṣṭvā ca punarasyaivaṃ bhavatyanityā bata(te) me saṃskārā iti pūrvvavat||

tatra kathaṃ maraṇakṛtāṃ vipariṇāmānityatāṃ vyavacārayati| ihāyaṃ jīvitaṃ paśyati dhriyantaṃ, tiṣṭhantaṃ, yāpayantaṃ, sopareṇa samayena mṛtaṃ kālagataṃ paśyati| vijñānaśūnyaṃ kalevaraṃ dṛṣṭvā ca punarasyaivaṃ bhavatīti vistareṇa pūrvvavat||

tatra kathaṃ [vi]nīlakādikṛtāṃ vipariṇāmānityatāṃ vyavacārayati| sopareṇa samayena tāma(tada)sthiśaṃkalikāvasthānaṃ paśyati| sa tadeva mṛtakalevaraṃ vinīlakāvasthamekadā paśyati| ekadā vipūyakāvasthamenaṃ vistareṇa yāvasthiśaṃkalikāvasthaṃ dṛṣṭvāsyaivaṃ bhavatyanityā bata(te)me saṃskārā iti vistareṇa pūrvvavat||

tatra kathamasaṃkhyā(ya) na parikṣayakṛtāmvipariṇāmānityatāṃ vyavacārayati [|] sopareṇa [samayena] tāma(tada)pya[sthi]śaṃkalikāvasthānaṃ paśyati| sarvveṇa sarvvaṃ naṣṭā(ṣṭo) bhavati, vidhvastā(sto), viśīrṇṇaḥ| sarvveṇa sarvvaṃ cakṣuṣo [a]nābhāsagatā, dṛṣṭvā ca punarasyaivaṃ bhavatyanityā bata(te)me saṃskārāstathā hyeṣāṃ paurvvāparyeṇa pratyakṣata evāyamevaṃ rūpo vikāra upalabhyate| vipariṇāmaḥ|

evaṃ tāvatpratyakṣādhipateyena manaskāreṇādhyātmikasya vastunaḥ [paṃca] daśabhirākārairvipariṇāmānityatāṃ vyavacārayati| vyavacārayitvā(vyavacārya) ṣoḍaśavidhasya bāhyasya vastuno vipariṇāmānityatāṃ vyavacārayati| ye'nena pṛthivīpradeśā nābhisaṃskṛtāḥ pūrvvaṃ dṛṣṭā bhavanti| gṛhavastvāpaṇavastu-puṇyaśālā-devakulavihāravastuprakāraiḥ paścāccābhisaṃskṛtānpaśyatyanabhisaṃskṛtānpaśyatyanandinavānsukṛtānsūpaliptān (|) sopareṇa samayena jīrṇṇān paśyati| jarjarānalūnavilūnāṃ (nān) cchīrṇān cha(kṣa) titapatitān khalu chidrānagninā vā dagdhānudakena vāpahratāṃ(hṛtān)| dṛṣṭvā ca punarasyaivaṃ bhavati| anityā bata(te)me saṃskārāḥ [|] tathāpye (hye)ṣāṃ paurvvāparyeṇāyamevaṃrūpaḥ pratyakṣo vikāro vipariṇāma upalabhyate| evaṃ pṛthivyāṃ vipariṇāmānityatāṃ vyavacārayati| evaṃ tṛṇauṣadhivanaspataya ārāmodyānāni ca samṛddhapatrapuṣpaphalāni paśyati| harati tāni(haritāni) prāsādikānyabhiramyāṇi [|] apareṇa sa samayenocchuṣkāṇi paśyati| vigatapatrapuṣphalāni (|) agnidāhena vā dagdhāni (vā,) tathā parvatānyekadā samṛddhapāṣāṇāni paśyatyekadā nirluṭhitapāṣāṇāni patita śrṛṃgāṇi, patitakūṭāni, utkūlanikūlānyagninā dagdhāni, udakābhiṣyanditāni, tathā utsasarastaḍāka(ga)nadīprasravaṇakūpādīnyekadā, samṛddhodakāni paśyatyekadā parikṣīṇodakāni, sarveṇa vā sarvvaṃ viśuṣkāṇi khilībhūtāni koṭarāṇi| tathā karmāntānekadā sampadyamānānpaśyatyekadā vipadyamānāṃ (nān) [paśyati|] tadyathākṛṣikarmāntānnaukarmāntānsamyagvyavahārakarmāntān vividhāṃchilpa (vidhāñchilpa)sthānakarmāntān, tathā kośasannidhīnāṃ vicitrāṇāṃ nānāprakārāṇāmekadā ācayaṃ paśyatyekadā apacayaṃ| tathā bhojanapānaṃ ca ekadā[na]bhisaṃskṛtā (nnā)vasthaṃ paśyatyekadābhisaṃskṛtāvasthamekadā lālāvisaraviklinnamekadā yāvaduccāraprasrāvāvasthaṃ [paśyati]| tathā vividhāni yānānyekadā sumaṇḍitāni svalaṃkṛtānyabhinavāni paśyatyekadā vigatālaṃkārāṇi| vigatamaṇḍanāni, jarjarāṇi| tathā vastrāṇāmekadā abhinavatāṃ paśyatyekadā purāṇatāṃ| prakṣīṇatāmekadā śuddhatāmekadā malinatāṃ| tathālaṃkārāṇāmekadānabhisaṃskṛtatāmekadā[']bhisaṃskṛtatāmekadā sāratāmekadābhinna-prabhinnatāmvikṣīṇatāṃ paśyati| tathā nṛttagītavāditānāṃ pratyutpannaprayogavicitrabhūya[s]samudgatā[ṃ]bhavabhaṃgatāmpaśyati| tathā gandhamālyavilepanānāṃ pratyagrasugandhā[']mlānatāṃ paśyati| apareṇa samayena nātisugandhadurgandhamlānaviśuṣkatāṃ paśyati| tathā bhāṇḍopaskārāṇāmanabhisaṃskārābhisaṃskārasārabhagnatāṃ paśyati| tathā ālokānukārayoḥ saṃbhavavibhavatāmpaśyati| tathā strīpuruṣacaryāsambhavavibhavatāṃ paśyati| asthiratāṃ [|] dṛṣṭvā ca punarasyaivaṃ bhavatyanityā bata(te)me saṃskārāstathā hyeṣāṃ bāhyānāṃ saṃskārāṇāṃ, ṣaṇṇāṃ ca parigrahavastūnāṃ, daśānāñca kāyaparivārāṇāṃ pratyakṣatā, vikāro, viparimāṇo[']yamīdṛśa upalabhyate| sarvvatracaitat peyālaṃ veditavyaṃ||

ebhiraṣṭābhirvipariṇāmakāraṇaiḥ pūrvvanirdiṣṭairasyādhyātmikabāhyasya vastuno yathāyogaṃ pratyakṣādhipateyena manaskāreṇaivaṃ vipariṇāmākāreṇānityatāṃ vyavacārayati| yathānena sā vipariṇāmānityatā pratyakṣaṃ dṛṣṭā bhavatyanubhūtā, aparapratyayaśca tasyāṃ bhavatyananyaneyaḥ| tathaivānusmaran vyavacārayati| niścitaśca bhavati| tenocyate pratyakṣādhipateyo manaskāra iti|

sa evaṃ pratyakṣādhipateyena manaskāreṇa vipariṇāmānityatāṃ vyavahā(cā)rayitvā(vyavacārya) yeṣāṃ rūpiṇāṃ saṃskārāṇāṃ satī samvidyamānā kṣaṇotpannabhagnā vinīlatā(vilīnatā) nopalabhyate| tatra pratyakṣādhipateyaṃ manaskāraṃ niśrityānumānaṃ karotyevañca punaranumānaṃ karoti| kṣaṇotpannabhagnavilīnānāmeṣāṃ saṃskārāṇāmiyaṃ pūrvveṇāparā vikṛtiryujyate| na tu tathaivāvasthitānāṃ, iti hi kṣaṇikāḥ saṃskārāsteṣu teṣu pratyayeṣu satsu tathā tathotpadyante| utpannāścānapekṣya vināśakāraṇaṃ svarasena vipa(na)śyanti|

yāni punaretāni vipariṇāmakāraṇāni tānyanyathotpattaye satya(mva) rttante vikṛtāyā utpatteḥ kāraṇībhavanti| na tu vināśasya [|] tatkasya hetoḥ[|] sahaiva tena vināśakāraṇena vinaṣṭānāṃ saṃskārāṇāṃ yasmādvisadṛśā (śī) pravṛttirupalabhyate| na tu sarvveṇa sarvvamapravṛttireva [|] yeṣāmvā punaḥ saṃskārāṇāṃ sarvveṇa sarvvamapravṛttirupalabhyate| tadyathā kvāthyamānāmasāmante sarvveṇa sarvvamparikṣayo bhavatiagninirdagdhānāṃ ca lokabhājanānāṃ masirapi na[pra]jñāyate| chāyikā ca| śiṣṭamapi na prajñāyate teṣāmapyuttarottarakaraṇaparyādānādante sarvveṇa sarvvamabhāvo bhavati| na tvagninaiva kriyate [|] tasmādvipariṇāmakāraṇānyetānyaṣṭau yathoktāni svarasenaiva tu vināśo bhavati| sa evamānumānikamanaskāreṇa saṃskāreṇākṣaṇotpannabhagnavilīnatāyāṃ niścayaṃ pratilabhya punarapyapratyakṣaparalokāsaṃskārapravṛttāvanumānaṃ karoti||

evaṃ ca punaranumānaṃ karoti| santi satvā (ttvā) ye avarṇṇā api, durvvarṇā apyupalabhyante, uccakulīnā api, ādyakulīnā api, daridrakulīnā api, alpeśākhyā api, dīrghāyuṣo (ṣa)āde yavākyā api, anādeyavākyā api, tīkṣṇendriyā api [|] tadetat satva(ttva) vaicitryaṃ sati karmavaicitrye yujyate [|] nāsati| yadrūpaiḥ sattvairyadrūpaṃ pūrvvameva bhūtaṃ (kṛtaṃ?) kuśalākuśalaṃ citrakarma kṛtamupacitaṃ, tena hetunā, tena pratyayena teṣāmidamātmabhāvavaicitryamabhinirvṛttaṃ||

na caitadīśvaranirmāṇahetukaṃ yujyate| sa cedīśvaranirmāṇahetukaṃ syāttadīśvarapratyayameva vā syādanyena vopādāneneśvaro nirmimīta| sa cedīśvara pratyayameva syāt teneśvarasyaiṣāñca saṃskārāṇāṃ yaugapadyaṃ syāt| atha pūrvamīśvaraḥ paścāt saṃskārā, neśvarapratyayāḥ saṃskārā bhavanti| atheśvarasya praṇidhānaṃ nirmāṇakāraṇaṃ, neśvara eva| tena samīcchā sahetukā (kī) vā syānnirhetu kā (kīṃ) vā [|] yadi sahetukā īśvarahetukaiva ca tena pūrvvakeṇa doṣeṇa tulyatayā na yujyate| athānyahetukā (kī) tenecchā prayatnaḥ| praṇidhānamīśvaravinirmuktānyadharmahetukā tathā sarvve[']pi saṃskārā dharmahetukā eva bhaviṣyanti| kimīśvareṇa vṛthā kalpitenetyevamādinā ānumānikena manaskāreṇaivaṃbhāgīyena, paralokena saṃskārapravṛttau niścayaṃ pratilabhate|

sa evaṃ triḥprakāramanaskārādhipatyena śraddhādhipateyena pratyakṣādhipateyenānumānādhipateyānāṃ(yām) nityatāṃ vyavacārayati| tatra yā pūrvva pañca [vidhā'] nityatā pañcākārabhāvanānugatā uddiṣṭā, tatra vipariṇāmākāranirdiṣṭā, vināśākārā ca|

visaṃyogākārā anityākārā (anityatā) katamā| āha| adhyātmamupādāya bahirdhā ca veditavyā|| tatrādhyātmamupādāya yathāpi tadekatyaḥ pūrvvampareṣāṃ stā(svā)mī bhavatyadāsaḥ apreṣyaḥ| aparakarmakaraḥ| sopareṇa samayena svāmibhāvamadāsabhāvaṃ vihāya pareṣāṃ dāsabhāvamupagacchati| svāmibhāvādvisaṃyujyate| tathā santaḥ samvidyamānā bhogā avipariṇatā, avinaṣṭā rājñā (ḥ) apahriyante| corairvvā, apriyairvvā, dāyādai[ritya] nityatā veditavyā| tatra dharmatākārā ['] nityatā yathāpi tasyā eva vipariṇāmānityatāyāḥ vināśānityatāyāḥ| vartamāne [']pyadhvanyasamavahitāyāḥ anābhoge (gate) [']dhvani bhāvinyā dharmatāṃ pratividhyatyevaṃ dharmāṇa ete saṃskārā anāgate[']dhvani evaṃbhāgīyā iti| eṣu sannihitākārāya (rayā?) ita eva vipariṇāmānityatāṃ, vināśānityatāṃ, visaṃyogānityatāṃ samavahitāṃ saṃbhuravībhūtāmākārayati|

sa evamādhyātmikabāhyānāṃ saṃskārāṇāṃ pañcavidhāyāmanityatāyāmebhiḥ pañcabhirākārairyathāyogaṃ manasikārabāhulyādupapattisādhanabhāvanādhipatyācca niye(rme)yaṃ pratilabhya tada[na]ntaraṃ duḥkhākāramavatarati| tasyaivaṃ bhavati| ya ete saṃskārā anityāsteṣāmanityatāṃ (tā) jātidharmato yujyate| iti hyeta eva saṃskārā jātidharmāṇaḥ jātiśca duḥkhā, yadā(yā) jātireva[ṃ]jarā vyādhirmaraṇa[ṃ], vipriyasaṃprayogaḥ, priyavinābhāva, icchāvighātaśca veditavyaḥ| evaṃ tāvadaniṣṭā(tyā)kāreṇa duḥkhākāramavatarati|

sa ye sukhavedanīyāḥ skandhāḥ, sāsravāḥ, sopādānāsteṣu saṃyojanabandhanākāreṇa duḥkhākāramavatarati| tathā hi te (tasya) tṛṣṇāsaṃyojanasyākāre[']dhiṣṭhānaṃ, tṛṣṇāsaṃyojanaṃ ca jātijarāvyādhimaraṇaśokaparidevaduḥkhadaurmanasyopāyāsabandhanasya, rāgadveṣamohabandhanasya cādhiṣṭhānaṃ|

tatrāyogakṣemāmāreṇa aduḥkhāsukhasthānīyeṣu skandheṣu duḥkhākāramavatarati| tathā hyaduḥkhāsukhāsthānīyāḥ skandhāḥ sopādānā dauṣṭhulyasahagatā abījānugatā avinirmuktā duḥkhaduḥkhatayā, vipariṇāmaduḥkhatayā ca| anityā, nirodhadharmāṇaḥ|

evamayaṃ yogī sukhasthānīyeṣu saṃskāreṣu, sukhāyāñca vedanāyāṃ vipariṇāmaduḥkhatāmavatīrṇo bhavati| yaduta saṃyojanabandhanākāreṇa duḥkhavedanāsthānīyeṣu saṃskāreṣuduḥkhāyāṃ vedanāyāṃ duḥkhaduḥkhatāmavatīrṇṇo bhavati| yadutāniṣṭākāreṇa aduḥkhāsukhasthānīyeṣu saṃskāreṣu(ṣva) duḥkhāsukhāyāñca vedanāyāṃ saṃskāraduḥkhatāmavatīrṇṇo bhavati| yadutāyogakṣemākāreṇa [|]

tasyaivaṃ bhavati| saṃyojanabandhanākāramaniṣṭākāraṃ yogakṣemākāraṃ cādhipatiṃ kṛtvā tisṛṣu vedanāsu yatkiñcidvedayitamidamatra duḥkhasyetyevamayamanityākārapūrvvakeṇa manaskāreṇa duḥkhākāramavatīrṇṇo bhavati| tasyaivaṃ bhavatīndriyamātra(traṃ)saha(saḥ) upalabhate, viṣayamātraṃ| tajjamanubhavamātraṃ| cittamātra hatā ātmeti(hatātmeti)| nāmamātraṃ| darśanamātramupacāramātraṃ| nāta uttari nāto bhūyaḥ|

tadevaṃ sati skandhamātrametannāstyeṣu skandheṣu nityo, dhruvaḥ, śāśvataḥ svābhūtaḥ| kaścidātmā vā, satvo(ttvo) vā, yo [']sau jāyeta vā, hīyeta vā, mriyate(yeta)vā, tatra vā (tatra vā) tatra kṛtakṛtānāṃ karmaṇāṃ phalavipākaṃ pratisamvedayeta| iti hi śūnyā ete saṃskārāḥ, ātmavirahitā ityevamanupalambhākāreṇa śūnyākāramavatarati| tasyaivaṃ bhavati| ye punarete saṃskārāḥ svalakṣaṇenānityalakṣaṇena, duḥkhalakṣaṇena yuktāste[']pi pratītyasamutpannatayā asvatantrā, ye[']svatantrāste[']nātmāna ityevamasvatantrākāreṇānātmākāramavatarati| evaṃ punaryoginā daśākāraṃ gṛhītaiścaturbhirākārairduḥkhasatyalakṣaṇaṃ pratisaṃveditaṃ bhavati||

tatrānityākāraḥ pañcabhirākāraiḥ saṃgṛhītaḥ| tadyathā vipariṇāmākāreṇa, visaṃyojanākāreṇa, sannihitākāreṇa, dharmatākāreṇa [|]

duḥkhākārastribhirākāraiḥ saṃgṛhītaḥ| saṃyojanabandhanākāreṇa aniṣṭākāreṇa ayogakṣemākāreṇa ca[|]

śūnyākāra ekenākāreṇa saṃgṛhīto yadutānupalaṃbhākāreṇa [|]

anātmākāra ekenākāreṇa saṃgṛhīto yadutāsvatantrākāreṇa|

sa evaṃ daśabhirākāraiścaturākārānupraviṣṭo duḥkhalakṣaṇāṃ pratisaṃvedya, asya duḥkhasya ko hetuḥ, kaḥ samudayaḥ, prabhavaḥ, pratyayaḥ iti| yasya prahāṇādasya duḥkhasya prahāṇaṃ syādityebhiścaturbhirākāraissamudayasatyasya lakṣaṇaṃ pratisaṃvedayati| tṛṣṇāyā duḥkhakṣemakatvāddhetutaḥ, ākṣipyābhinirvvartakatvātsamudayānayanātsamudā[na]yataḥ| abhinirvṛttirduḥkhitatvāt prabhavatvāt prabhavataḥ| punarāyatyāṃ duḥkhabījaparigrahatvādanukrameṇa ca| duḥkhasamudayānayanātpratyayataḥ| aparaḥ paryāyaḥ | upādānahetukasya ca bhavasya samudāgamādbhavapūrvikāyā jāteḥ prabhavatvāt, jātipratyayatāṃ, jāti ca (teśca)jarāvyādhimaraṇaśokādīnāmabhinirvṛtteḥ| hetutaḥ samudayataḥ, prabhavataḥ, pratyayataḥ| yathāyogaṃ veditavyaṃ| aparaḥ paryāyaḥ [|] yaḥ kleśānuśaya āśraya[ḥ] punarbhavāmabhinirvṛttaye hetustajjasya ca paryavasthānasya yathāyogaṃ veditavyaṃ [|] aparaḥ paryāyaḥ [|] yaḥ kleśānuśaya āśrayastṛṣṇānuśayādikaḥ| sa āyatyāṃ punarbhavābhinirvṛttaye hetustajjasya ca paryavasthānasya yathāyogaṃ samudayaḥ, prabhavaḥ, pratyayaśca [|]

tatra paunarbhavikyāstṛṣṇāyāḥ samudānanātsamudayataḥ| sāpuna[ḥ]paunarbhavikī tṛṣṇā nandīrāgasahagatāyāstṛṣṇāyāḥ prabhavo bhavati sā punarnandīrāgasahagatā tṛṣṇā prabhūtā, tatra tatrābhinandinyāstṛṣṇāyāḥ pratyayo bhavatyevamasyānuśayagatāṃ trividhaparyavasthāgatāṃ ca tṛṣṇāmāgamyāyati[ḥ]| punarbhavasyābhinirvṛttirbhavati prādurbhāvaḥ| tenāha hetu[taḥ], samudayataḥ, prabhavataḥ, pratyayataśca| evamayaṃ yogī ebhiścaturbhirākāraissamudayasatyalakṣaṇaṃ pratisamvedayate|

samudayasatyalakṣaṇaṃ pratisaṃvedya asya samudayasatyasyāśeṣoparamannirodhaṃ nirodhata ākārayati| duḥkhasatyasyāśeṣoparamecchātaḥ, agratvācchreṣṭhatvāttadantaratvāt praṇītataḥ, nityatvānnissaraṇataḥ| evamayaṃ caturbhirākāraiḥ nirodhasatyasya lakṣaṇaṃ pratisaṃvedayati| pratisamvedya jñeyaparimārgaṇārthena, bhūtaparimārgaṇārthena caturbhirduḥkhairanupravartanārthena| nirvvāṇagamanāyaikāyanārthena mārgaṃ mārga[to], nyāyataḥ, pratipattito, nairyāṇikataśca ākārayati| sa evaṃ caturbhirākārairmārgatyasya lakṣaṇaṃ pratisamvedayate| ayamasyocyate caturṣvāryasatyeṣvadhyātmaṃ pratyātmaṃ lakṣaṇapratisaṃvedī (yate| ayamasyocyate| caturṣvāryasatye[ṣu]) manaskāraḥ||

sa evaṃ pratyātmikān skandhān pratyayenopaparīkṣya vyavacārayitvā (vyavacārya) viparokṣakān visabhāgadhātukān| skandhānanumānataḥ parāhanti| tepyevaṃ dharmāṇaḥ te[']pyevaṃnayapatitā iti| yatkiñcitsaṃskṛtaṃ sarvatra sarvaśaḥ [evaṃ tadevaṃ pratisaṃvedī manaskāraḥ| pratyayenopaparīkṣyavyavacārayitvā(cārya) viparokṣān visabhāgadhātukān skandhānanumānataḥ parāhanti| te[']pyevaṃ dharmāṇaste[']pyevaṃ nayapatitā iti yatkiñcitsaṃskṛtaṃ sarvvatra sarvaśa] evaṃ tadevaṃprakṛtikaṃ, tasya ca nirodhaḥ| śāntaḥ, mārgo, nairyāṇiko yastatprahāṇāya tasya yadā vipakṣokteṣu pratyātmikeṣu skandheṣu satyajñānaṃ| yacca viparokṣeṣu visabhāgadhātukeṣvanumānajñānaṃ| taddharmajñānānvayajñānayorutpattaye bījasthānīyaṃ bhavati| sa cāyaṃ lakṣaṇapratisaṃvedī manaskāraḥ śrutacintāvyavakīrṇṇo veditavyaḥ|

yadā teṣu satyeṣvayaṃ yogī evaṃ samyak(g)vyavacāraṇānvayādibhiḥ ṣoḍaśabhirākāraiścaturṣvāryasatyeṣu niścayaḥ [-yaṃ] pratilabdho bhavati| yadutopapattisādhanayuktyā, yaduta yāvadbhāvikatāṃ vā, tadā śrutacintāmayaṃ manaskāraṃ samatikramya vyavatīrṇṇavarttinamekāntena bhāvanākāreṇādhimucyate| so[a]sya bhavatyādhimokṣiko manaskāraḥ| satyālambanaścaikāntasamāhitaśca [|] sa tasyānvayā[d]dve satye adhikṛtya duḥkhasatyañca samudayasatyañca aparyantaṃ jñānaṃ pratilabhate| yenānityamanityamityanityāparyantamadhimucyate||
