tathāgatānāmāgamanagamananiṣedhena darśanamārgotpādanārthaṃ sarvadharmanairātmyamāvedayannāha | evamukte dharmodgata ityādi | tathatā'nutpādabhūtakoṭiśūnyatāyathāvattāvirāganirodhākāśadhātusvabhāvatvapratipādanena yathākramaṃ buddhānāṃ bhagavatāṃ māyopamasarvākārajñatādyaṣṭābhisamayaprabhāvitatvamāveditamityeke | ata evāha | na hi kulaputretyādi | ebhyo dharmebhya iti | sarvākārajñatādidharmebhyo nānyatra  tathāgataḥ | kintveṣāmeva yā tathatā sā tathāgata ityarthaḥ | anye tu hetūdāharaṇādhikyādādhikyaṃ nigrahasthānaṃ kṣudranaiyāyikairapyucyate | tatkathaṃ nyāyaparameśvaro bhagavānudāharaṇādhikyamuktavāniti codyaṃ kṛtvā | yatra nāmaikaḥ pratipādyastatra tatprasiddhasyaikasyaivābhidhānaṃ yuktam | tatra tu parṣanmaṇḍale bahavo bhinnamatayaḥ sanniṣaṇā iti | tadadhikāreṇa yuktamanekodāharaṇavacanam | vikalpena vā'mī dṛṣṭāntā na samuccayenetyevaṃ sarvatrādhikavacane parihāraṃ varṇayanti | tathā dṛṣṭāntasyaiva kathanātpratītyasamutpannatvādiko hetuḥ prājñairabhyūhanānnokta iti | tathāgatānāṃ svarūpamevaṃ nirdiśya kalpitābhiniveśaniṣedhārthamāha | tadyathāpi nāma kulaputra puruṣa ityādi | marīcikāmiti | viśiṣṭādityaraśmim | padārthasvarūpāparijñānādbālajātīyaḥ | viparītapratipattyā duṣprajñajātīyaḥ | na punastatrodakaṃ svabhāvataḥ saṃvidyata iti | mṛgatoyasya vijñāne raśmitaptoṣaramālambanaṃ na bhavatyanyākārajñānasyānyālambane'tiprasaṅgāt,parasparavyāvṛttarūpatvātsarvabhāvānāmudakaṃ marīcikāyāṃ tattvato na saṃvidyate | tasmāttadālambanaṃ jñānaṃ bhrāntaṃ nirviṣayatvādityarthaḥ | pūrvavat tatkasya hetorityāśaṃkyāha | na hi tathāgato rūpakāyato draṣṭavya iti kalpitasyaikāntaśūnyatvānna rūpaskandhātmakastathāgataḥ | paratantrābhiniveśaniṣedhārthamāha | tadyathāpi nāma kulaputra māyetyādi | grāhyagrāhakākārasyālīkatvena nirmitasya nāstyāgamanādikamityarthaḥ | evameva kulaputra nāsti tathāgatānāmiti | paratantrātmakānam | pariniṣpannābhiniveśanirākaraṇārthamāha | tadyathāpi nāma kulaputra puruṣaḥ supta ityādi | mṛṣāvādo hi svapna iti |



 



sarvatrālambanaṃ bāhyaṃ deśakālānyathātmakam |



janmanyanyatra tasmin vā tadā kālāntare'pi vā ||



 



taddeśo'nyadeśo vā svapnajñānasya gocaro na bhavatyanyākārajñānasyānyālambane'tiprasaṅgāt | na cānyadvāhyaṃ rūpamupapadyate | alpīyasyapi veśmani bahuyojanaparimāṇānāṃ giritarusāragādīnāṃ sapratighānāmupalambhāt,tasmādbhrāntameva tathāvidhaṃ jñānamupajāyata ityalīkaḥ svapnaḥ | evameva kulaputra sarvadharmā iti | pramāṇopapanotpattirahitatvena pariniṣpannasvabhāvāḥ sarvadharmāḥ svapnopamāḥ | dharmatāmaprajānanta ityanutpādarūpatāmanavagacchantaḥ | ṣaṅgatikamiti | devādipañcagatibhyo'suragateḥ pṛthagvyavasthāpanāt | te ca bhagavataḥ śrāvakā iti |



 



śīlādapi varaṃ bhraṃśo na tu dṛṣṭeḥ kadācana |



śīlena gamyate svargo dṛṣṭyā yāti paraṃ padam ||



 



iti nyāyena ta eva māyopamadharmatādhimuktā bhagavataḥ śiṣyāḥ | kalpitādipadārthatrayatattvarūpaniṣedhe sati nāstyeva tathāgata iti mandadhījanāśaṅkāmapākurvan pratītyasamutpannastathāgato'stītyāha | tadyathāpi nāma kulaputra mahāsamudra ityādi | sattvānāṃ kuśalamūlānyupādāyeti | "karmajaṃ lokavaicitryami"ti vacanāt sādhāraṇaṃ sattvānāṃ śubhaṃ karma pratītya saṃvṛtyā kuśalamūlahetukatvānna ca tānyahetukāni,yeṣāṃ pratyayānāṃ satāmiti sāmarthyeneti śeṣaḥ | na cāhetuko buddhānāṃ bhagavatāṃ kāya iti buddhavineyānāmeva sattvānāṃ kuśalamūlavaśena niṣpattigamanānnāhetukaḥ kāyaḥ | sādhāraṇakarmanirjātatvaṃ nirdiśyedānīṃ bhagavatāmasādhāraṇakarmanirjātatvapratipādanārthamāha | pūrvacaryāpariniṣpanna ityādi | tatrādhimukticaryābhūmiprabhāvitatvāt pūrvacaryāpariniṣpannaḥ pramuditādisaptaprayogabhūmyupādānahetunirjātatvāddhetvadhīnaḥ | acalāditrividhaphalabhūmisahakārikāraṇodgatatvātpratyayādhīnaḥ | samantaprabhābhūmisaṅgṛhītatvāt pūrvakarmavipākādutpanna ityevameṣāmarthabheda iti kecit | tasmānna svābhāvikastathāgata ityāha | na kvaciddaśadiśītyādi |

iti vacanāt,pramāṇopapannakāryakāraṇasambandhabalātpratītyasamutpanna eva tāttvikastathāgata ityaupalambhikajanābhiniveśaniṣedhārthamāha | tadyathāpi nāma kulaputra vīṇāyā ityādi | tatropadhānī tantrīveṣṭanikā daṇḍāgravinyastā kāṣṭhādivakralikā,upavāṇī pārśvasthitāstrantrīviśeṣāḥ | sa ca śabdo na droṇyā niścaratītyādinā | na hyekaṃ janakamiti kathayati | sarveṣāṃ samāyogācchabdaḥ prajñapyata ityanenāpi prājñaptikaśabdanirdeśena sāmagyāstāttvikaṃ janakasvabhāvaṃ nirasyati | etaduktaṃ | anekaṃ kāraṇamekaṃ kāryaṃ karotyanekaṃ vā tathaikamapi kāraṇamanekamekaṃ vā kāryaṃ kuryāditi catvāro vikalpāḥ | tatra yadyanekaṃ kāraṇamekakāryakṛditi pakṣastadā cakṣūrūpālokamanaskārādibhyaścakṣurvijñānasyaikasyotpattāvabhyupagamyamānāyāṃ kāraṇabhede'pi kāryasya bhedābhāvānna kāraṇabhedo bhedakaḥ kāryasya syāt | tathā ca kāraṇābhedābhāve'pi kāryasyābhedānna kāraṇābhedaḥ kāryasyābhedako bhavet | tataśca kāraṇabhedābhedāvanvayavyatirekābhyāmanapekṣamāṇau kāryabhedābhedāvahetukau syātām | evañca sati bhedābhedāvyatirekādviśvasya nityaṃ sattvamasattvaṃ vā syādahetoranyānapekṣaṇāt | nanu sāmagrī janayitrī kāryasya tasyāśca bhedābhedānuvidhānacaturāvimāvanvayavyatirekānuvidhāyitayā kāryasya bhedābhedāvataḥ kathaṃ tāvahetukau bhaviṣyata iti cet | naitatsāram | tathā hi na sāmagrī nāmānyā kācana samagrebhyaḥ kintarhi samagrā eva bhāvāḥ sāmagrīśabdavācyāḥ te ca parasparavyāvṛttasvabhāvāścakṣurādayo bhinnāḥ santo yadyekamevābhinnaṃ cakṣurvijñānaṃ kāryamupajanayituṃ śaktāstadā sāmagryantarāntaḥpātino'pi bhāvāḥ samagrāḥ kimiti cakṣurvijñānasyopajananaṃ na kuryuḥ | bhinnatvena cakṣurādibhyaḥ kṣityādayo nopajanayantīti cet | cakṣurādayo'pi parasparaṃ bhinnasvabhāvāḥ kathaṃ janayantīti vaktavyam | janakasvābhāvyāditi cet,naivaṃ yasmājjanakānyatvamevājanakatvaṃ vyavasthāpitam | tasmādekasya yo janakaḥ svabhāvastato'pare vyāvartamānā janakāḥ na prāpnuvanti | janakādanyatvādbhāvāntaravat | syādetat | na hi brūmo'nyasya tajjanakarūpaṃnāstīti | kintu yadekasya tajjanakaṃ rūpaṃ tadanyasya nāstyanyo'pi svarūpeṇaiva janako na pararūpeṇātadrūpatvāt | ataḥ svarūpājjanakādvyāvṛttyasiddheryathāsvaṃ bhinnāśca janakāśca svabhāveneti ko'tra virodhaḥ | tathā hyekasmājjanakādvyāvartamānastadrūpo na syānna tvatatkāryastenaiva ca tatkāryaṃ kartavyaṃ nānyeneti ko'tra nyāya iti yadyevamekenaiva tatkāryaṃ kṛtamiti kimapareṣāṃ tatkāryakaraṇe prayojanam | syādetat | na vai bhāvānāṃ kācit prekṣāpūrvakāritā yato'yameko'pi samarthaḥ kimatrāsmābhirityapare nivarteran | te hi nirabhiprāyavyāpārāḥ svahetupariṇāmopadhidharmāṇastatprakṛtestathā bhavanto nopālambhamarhantīti | evaṃ tarhyekena hetunā yaḥ kāryasya svabhāvo janyate sa evāpareṇeti prāptam | tathā ca sati kāraṇavailakṣaṇye kāryavailakṣyaṇyādarśanāt,kāraṇabhedo visadṛśasyābhinnasa kāryasyotpādakatvena bhedako na syāt | atha manyase parasparavibhinnamūrtayo'pi cakṣurādaya eva kenacitsvabhāvātiśayena cakṣurvijñānajanane niyatā nāpare kṣityādayaḥ | tathā hi teṣāmeva cakṣurādīnāṃ sa svabhāvātiśayo nāpareṣām | etāvattu syāt | kuto'yaṃ svabhāvātiśayasteṣāmiti | nirhetukatve'napekṣiṇo niyamābhāvenātiprasaṅgabhayāt sa svabhāvātiśayasteṣāṃ svahetorityucyate | tasyāpi tajjananātmatā tadanyasmātsvahetorityanādirhetuparamparā | tasmādevaṃvidhahetuparamparāyāśceṣṭatvenānavasthāpi na kṣatimāvahati | evaṃ vilakṣaṇakāraṇakalāpādvilakṣaṇamavilakṣaṇāccāvilakṣaṇaṃ kāryaṃ jāyata ityetāvataivāṃśena hetubhedābhedābhyāṃ phalasya bhedābhedāvuktāviti | naitatsāraṃ |  yasmādya evobhayaniścitavācī hetuḥ sa eva sādhanaṃ dūṣaṇañceti nyāyādabhedāviśeṣe'pi hetudharmasāmarthyādyathā na sarvaṃ sarvasādhakaṃ tadvadbhedāviśeṣe'pi na sarvaṃ sarvasādhakamityevasabhyupagatahetuphalasambandhaṃ sāṃkhyādikaṃ pratyucyamānaṃ śobhāmādhatte | vastutattvato hetuphalabhāvāpavādī mādhyamikastaṃ pratisvabhāvātiśayasteṣāṃ svahetoriti hetudharmasāmarthyalakṣaṇo heturasiddhaḥ svapakṣasiddhaye siddhavat kathamupādīyate | atha matam | hetudharmasāmarthyānabhyupagame pratyakṣādivirodho durnivāra iti | tadasat | tattvata iti viśeṣaṇena yathādarśanamaniṣedhāt | ayathādarśanaṃ tarhi niṣedha iti vyaktamidaṃ kūrmaromotpāṭanam | ayathādarśanaṃ kāryakāraṇabhāvānabhyupagamāditi cet | na tattvataḥ pramāṇasahāyatvenāpramāṇasahāyasya kāryakāraṇabhāvasyābhyu pagamātkathaṃ nāyathādarśanamabhyupagamaḥ | tathā hyetāvanmātramekameva pratyakṣe pratibhāsate,yadutāsmin satīdaṃ bhavatīti | taccāsmābhiraniṣiddhameva | yastu pramāṇopapannasvarūpaḥ kāryakāraṇabhāvo varṇyate sa pratyakṣasamādhigamyo na bhavati nirvikalpakatvena pratyakṣasya pramāṇopapannasvarūpāvadhāraṇāsāmarthyavaikalyāt | na ca vastupratibhāsanādeva tadavyatiriktatathāvidhasvarūpasya pratibhāsanamiti yuktaṃ vaktumatathāvidhasvarūpasyāpi keśoṇḍūkādeḥ pratibhāsanāt | bhrānto'yaṃ pratibhāsa ityapi mithyā,satyatvābhimatapratibhāsasyāpi satyatvanibandhanābhāvāt | arthakriyākāritvaṃ satyatvanibandhanamiti cet | naivaṃ,yasmāt kāryakriyākāritvamevārthakriyākāritvaṃ yathoditavidhinā paramārthato'nupapadyamānasvarūpaṃ saṃvṛtyābhyupagatamityajñāpakametat | sarvasyaivālīkatve deśakālādipratiniyamo na syāditi cet | syādepa doṣo yadi nirhetukatvamabhyupagamyate | yāvatā vicāravimardāsahiṣṇutvenāvicāraikaramyaṃ pūrvapūrvasvakāraṇaṃ samāśrityottarottaramīdṛśaṃ pratiniyata deśakālādisatkāryaṃ pravartate | ata eva ca saṃvṛtyāpi kāraṇa vaikalyācchaśaviṣāṇādīnāmanutpattiḥ | nyāyasya tulyatve yathādarśanamapi kiṃ niṣedhaścet,pratyakṣādivirodhopanipātāt | na tarhyayaṃ nyāyo bādhāsambhavāditi cet | naitadevaṃyathā nyāyastattvatastathā bādhā'nabhyupagamāt | yathā ca bādhā yathādarśanaṃ tathā nyāyābhāvāt | atha matamanekameva kāraṇamanekaṃ kāryaṃ kuryāditi dvitīyaḥ pakṣo'bhyupagamyate | kāraṇasvabhāvaviśeṣasya kāryasvabhāvaviśeṣe vyāpriyamāṇatvena kārye kāraṇavyāpāraviracitānāṃ svabhāvaviśeṣāṇāmasaṃkīrṇatvāt | tathā hi samanantarapratyayādvijñānāccakṣurvijñānasyopalambhātmatā | tasyaiva copalambhātmanaścakṣurindriyādrūpagrahaṇayogyatāpratiniyamaḥ



viṣayāttattulyarūpatetyabhinnatve'pi vastutaḥ kāryasya nirvibhaktarūpasya kāraṇānāṃ bhinnebhyaḥ svabhāvebhyo bhinnā eva viśeṣā bhavantīti na kāraṇabhede'pyabhedastatkāryasyeti | tadayuktaṃ,yasmādupalambhātmatādīnāṃ parasparato bhede'bhyupagamyamāne tadvijñānamekamanekaṃ syādupalambhātmatādibhyo'bhedādupalambhātmādisvātmavat | athā bhedastebhyo na siddhastathā ca nānekatvaṃ vijñānasya bhaviṣyatīti cet | bhede tebhyo'bhyupagamyamāne tadvijñānaṃ nirhetukameva syātkāraṇavyāpārasya vijñānādanyatropalambhātmatādiṣūpayogādevaṃ ca nityaṃ sattvamasattvaṃ vā bhavediti doṣaḥ | atha yathoktadoṣabhayādbhedo nābhyupagamyate | tathā ca satyupalambhātmatādīnāṃ parasparato bhedo na syādekavijñānasvarūpatvādvijñānasvātmavat | ataḥ kāraṇavyāpāraviṣayabhedakalpanāvaiyarthyādbhinnasvabhāvebhyaścakṣurādibhya ityādinā prāgukto doṣaḥ samāpatati | atha matam |  kāryasvabhāvasyānekasmādanupalambhātmatādervyāvṛttimataḥ samutpattidarśanāddharmabhedakalpanāmāsthāya bodhātmakānmanaskārādbodharūpatetyādinā kāraṇānurūpyeṇopalambhātmatādirdharmabhedaḥ kāraṇavyāpāraviṣayabhedena kalpanāsamāropitaḥ ,tasya cāsattvāttebhyo'bhedājjñānasyānekatvamekasmājjñānādananyatvātteṣāmabheda iti prayogadvaye'siddho heturiti | yadyevaṃ te viśeṣāḥ kalpanoparacitatvena vyomotpalādaya iva na hetuvyāpāramapekṣanta iti kāraṇānāṃ bhinnebhyaḥ svabhāvebhyo bhinnā eva viśeṣā bhavantīti na yuktamabhidhātum | athāpekṣanta iti nirbandhastathā sati kalpanāśilpighaṭiteṣṭhevopalambhātmatādiṣu kāraṇavyāpāro vyavasthāpyamānaḥ kālpanika eva bhūtārtho na syādevañca kāryamahetukaṃ kāraṇavyāpārasya kalpitasvabhāveṣūpayogāt | athoktadoṣabhayādabhinnamekaṃ kāryaṃ viśeṣāśca bhinnā na ca kāryātmavyatiriktā iti matiḥ | evantarhi bhinnābhinnasvabhāvādhyāsitatvāddharmadharmiṇorvastutaḥ candratārakādivadbhedānna kevalaṃ vyatiriktameva sāmānyaṃ balādāpatati,nānekatvayoḥ parasparāhatilakṣaṇo'pi doṣaḥ kintarhi bodharūpādananyatve'bhyupagamyamāne rūpādvijñānakāryasya na sambhavo bodharūpādanyatvādbodharūpasvātmavat | viṣayākārādananyatvādrūpato'pi tasya sambhavo viṣayākārasvātmavadityeka eva kārye sambhavāsambhavau kāraṇe caikatra janakājanakau yugapattattvato virudhyate | syādetat | tathā hi kāryamutpadyamānaṃ dṛṣṭamiti | tadayuktam | nahi sarvaṃ darśanaṃ bādhyamānamapi pramāṇena pramāṇaṃ,mābhūdvicandrādidarśanasyāpi prāmāṇyamiti | athaikameva kāraṇamanekaṃ kāryaṃ kuryāditi tṛtīyaḥ pakṣo'bhyupagamyate | tadayuktam | ekasmādanekakāryotpattau na kāraṇābhedaḥ kāryasyābhedaka iti bhedo'pi bhedasya na heturiti bhedābhedau viśvasyāhetukau syātām | abhinnasyāpi sa tādṛśa ātmātiśayo yenaiko'pi heturanekaṃ kāryaṃ karotīti cet | sa heturyenātmātiśayenaikaṃ kāryañjanayati kintenaivāparam | tenaiva cet,kathaṃ bhedaḥ phalasya | athānyenaivaṃ tarhi kāraṇābhedo na yuktimān na hyātmātiśayādanyo bhāvaḥ | syādetat,yadi kāryasvabhāvāpattyā kāraṇaṃ kāryaṃ janayati,yathā sāṃkhyasya tadā bhavedekasyānekarūpāpattivirodhādanekajananamayuktimat | yāvatā bhedābhedajanananiyatasvabhāvakāraṇasannidhimātreṇa bhedābhedakāryotpattau nedañcodyamāskandati | ayameva hi kāraṇabhedābhedābhyāṃ kāryasya bhedo'bhedo vā yadbhedābhedajanananiyatasvabhāvātkāraṇādbhinnābhinnakāryotpattiriti | etadapi mithyā | yato'traiveyaṃ vicāraṇā kriyate | cakṣuryena svabhāvena cakṣuḥkṣaṇaṃ janayati kintenaiva cakṣurvijñānamapi | tenaiva cettadapi vijñānaṃ cakṣureva syāccakṣurjananasvabhāvakāraṇajanyatvāccakṣurvat | evaṃ yena vā svabhāvena cakṣurvijñānaṃ janayati tenaiva cakṣurapi | evaṃ cakṣurvijñānajananasvabhāvakāraṇajanyatvāccakṣurapi cakṣurvijñānaṃ syāccakṣurvijñānavat | yadi vā pratyekaṃ cakṣuracakṣurjananasvabhāvakāraṇajanyatvāccakṣuracakṣuḥsvabhāvaṃ cakṣuḥ syāt,evaṃ vijñānāvijñānajananasvabhāvakāraṇajanyatvādvijñānaṃ vijñānāvijñānasvabhāvaṃ syāt | evametadityabhyupagame ca sutarāṃ pratyakṣādyupahatirgāḍha bhavantamāśliṣyati | athānyena svābhāvena cakṣuścakṣuḥkṣaṇaṃ janayatyanyena cakṣurvijñānamitimatam | tau svabhāvau kiñcakṣuṣo vyatiriktāvathāvyatiriktau | yadi vyatiriktau tadā tāvevārthakriyālakṣaṇatvādvastuno janakau vastunī syātāṃ cakṣustvavastu syādakiñcitkaratvāt | athāvyatiriktau tadā cakṣuṣo'pyekābhimatasya bhedaḥ syātparasparabhinnasvabhāvāvyatirekāt,svabhāvadvayavat | tathā caikatvaṃ hīyate | svabhāvayorvā punaraikyaṃ syādekasmāccakṣuṣo'bhinnatvāccakṣurvattatra cakṣuryena svabhāvenetyādinokto doṣaḥ | atha mataṃ svahetorekajananasvabhāvamutpannaṃ kāraṇaṃ yathā kāryamekaṃ janayati tathā svahetorevotpannamanekaṃ janayatīti | evaṃ tu brūvāṇaiḥ prakaraṇameva vismṛtam | tathā hi yathaikasyānekajanakatvaṃ nirācikīrṣitaṃ tathaikajanakatvamapīti kiṃ mādhyamikaṃ pratyevamucyate | amādhyamikaṃ pratyapi niṣphalamiṣṭatvādekānekajanakatvasya tena | syādetat,yadi bhedajanananiyatasvabhāvādabhedotpattiḥ na tarhi kāraṇasvabhāvānuvidhāyi kāryaṃ syādityahetukatvaprasaṅgaḥ yāvatā cakṣuṣaḥ sakāśādbhedajanananiyatasvabhāvāccakṣuṣo vijñānasya vā cakṣuḥsvabhāvasyodayātkathaṃ na bhedotpatiḥ | tathāhi na kāraṇaṃ prati kāryaṃ parasparavilakṣaṇābhiḥ śaktibhiranugatamiti bhinnaṃ kāryaṃ karotītyapitu svabhāvāditi | tameva tatsvabhāvaṃ paryanuyujjmahe ko'yaṃ svabhāvo nāma viśvarūpo yena prāguktānekaprakāravirodhe'pi tattiraskriyayā svapakṣarakṣāmācarannapāstānyapratisamādhānacintābhāro bhavān sukhamāsīt | hetudharmasāmarthyamiti cet,naivaṃ prāgeva nirākṛtatvāt | paridṛśyamānarūpatetyapi na vaktavyaṃ,yasmādrūpādinirbhāsavati pratyaye'pratibhāsamānasya śāstrādyāśrayeṇa parikalpitarūpasya tattvotpattyādyākārasya niṣedhādyayā buddhyā tattvaṃ sandhriyate,yasyāṃ vā buddhau sā tādṛśī lokapratītiḥ saṃvṛtiriṣṭā tayā sarvamidaṃ pratīyamānasvarūpaṃ viśvaṃ satyaṃ,anyathā'līkam | ato yathādarśanaṃ kāryakāraṇabhāvo durnivārastathā ca sati yat kaiścidevaṃ dūṣaṇamucyate'bhāvaḥ saṃvṛtirutpādo bhāva iti yugapadarthakriyāyāṃ yogyamayogyaṃ vastvabhyupagatam | athotpādaḥ saṃvṛtistadā saṃvṛtyotpāda ityasya vākyasyotpattyotpāda ityabhyupagamānna kiñcidniṣṭamāpatitam | tathānutpādaḥ paramārtha ityevaṃ paramārthena notpāda ityasyānutpādena notpāda ityarthaḥ | tathā ca siddhasādhyatetyādi | tatsaṃvṛtilakṣaṇānabhijñatayā prakṛtānupayogikevalamabhimānādasaṅgatamuktam | athaikameva kāraṇa mekaṃ kāryaṃ kuryāditi caturthaḥ pakṣo'bhyupagamyate so'yaṃ nitarāmeva na rājate | tathā hi cakṣurādīnāṃ sajātīyakṣaṇajanakatvena svavijñānajanakatvābhāve'ndhabadhirāditvaprasaṅgaḥ spaṣṭaḥ prasajyate | svavijñānajanakatve cā'bhyupagamyamāne cakṣurādijātyucchedenaikasmājjñānakṣaṇādūrdhvaṃ na cakṣurādayo nāpi jñānamiti tadevāndhatvādikamanāyāsena jagataḥ prāptam | ato ye pratītyasamutpannāste paramārthato'vicāraikaramaṇīyāstadyathā māyākāranirmitāḥ karabhādayaḥ | tathā cāmī sarve rūpādayo bhāvā iti svabhāvahetuḥ | yathādarśanaṃ pratītyotpādadarśanānnāsiddho hetuḥ sapakṣe bhāvānna viruddhaḥ pūrvaprabandhena vipakṣe bādhakapramāṇopadarśanādanaikāntikaśca na bhavatītyamunā nyāyena pratyayādhīnavṛttitvādyathāśabdaḥ prājñaptikastathā bhagavatāṃ kāyo vyavasthāpita iti | tatropādānakāraṇādhīnatvena hetvadhīnā sahakārikāraṇajanyatvātpratyayādhīnā vineyānāṃ kuśalamūlabalena pratibhāsagamanādanekakuśalamūlaprayoganiṣpannā | yathoktadharmapratyavekṣāyāḥ prayojanārthamāha | yataḥ kulaputretyādi | yasmādevamanantaroktakrameṇa yadā sarvadharmānanutpannānaniruddhāndarśanamārgādhigamena tvaṃ samyak prajñāsyasi,tasmādbhāvādyabhiniveśalakṣaṇaṃ viparyāsaṃ tadvirodhinaiḥsvābhāvyajñānātprahāya tanmūlaṃ sakalaṃ kleśajñeyāvaraṇaṃ krameṇāpākurvāṇaḥ prathamādibhūmau niyato bhaviṣyasyanuttarabodhāvityartha | vineyānāmaviparītadharmadeśanābalādadhigamo jāta iti pratipādayannāha | asmin khalu punarityādi | na ca me bhūyo vicikitsā pravartata iti | ekayogakṣemānāṃ madhye'nyatarasyaikasya prahāṇābhāvādvicikitsāprahāṇe darśanaprahātavyakleśagaṇaprahāṇaṃ dharmanairātmyadeśanābalādadhigatadarśanamārgasāmarthyena paridīpayatyato'nuttarabodhiṃ prati na punarvicikitsā pravartate | kuśalamūlaparipūrimupādāyeti prathamabhūmyadhikāreṇa dānapāramitā'tiriktatāmupādāyetyarthaḥ | saptavarṣāṇīti ||



 



na kṛpā mandatedānīṃ na ca me dharmamatsaraḥ |



nācāryamuṣṭirnāśaktirna ca me duḥkhaśīlatā ||



na ca me niṣṭhitaṃ śāstraṃ tarkayāmi na cāntikāt |



ājñātuṃ na ca me śaktāḥ vineyā na ca sādarāḥ ||



na deśayāmi yeneti jñāpayan paritarṣayan |



dvau māsau pratisaṃlīno bhagavānardhameva ca ||



 



iti nyāyādāryasadāpraruditasya pariśuddhāśayatājijñāsārthaṃ saptavarṣāṇi samāpanna eva sthita ityeke | darśanamārgādhigamabalenādhigatasaptasambodhyaṅgānāṃ sarvākārapariśodhanārthamityapare | āśayapariśuddhyā bhāvanābalādaviparītanimittapratibhāso jāyata ityāha | atha khalu sadāprarudita ityādi | pratisaṃkhyāyeti | evaṃ vicintya,ṛddhyābhijñāsambhave'pi na tayā pūjā kṛteti | śarīravikrayamūlyagrahaṇadvyākhyeyam | kīdṛśīṃ prajñāpāramitāṃ deśayāmāsetyādi | tatreyaṃ dharmodgatasyetyādi | yadyapi sarva eva sarvadharmasamatādayo deśanāprakārā dharmanairātmyadyotakatvena tulyāstathāpi pauruṣeyatvādvakturabhiprāyaṃ kāryatayā sūtrayeyuramī śabdāḥ,tasmādavicchinnapāramparyasampradāyatvenābhiprāyadyotanādeṣāmarthabhedo'vagantavya ityeke | atha tanmatadeva likhyate | tatrādau sarvākārajñatādyanupūrvābhisamayaparyantasya ṣaṭprakārābhisamayakramasya pratyekaṃ prayogadarśanabhāvanāmārgasvabhāvapratipādanāya sarvadharmasamatayetyādyaṣṭādaśapadāni | tadanu caturvidhaikakṣaṇābhisamayārthakathanāya pṛthivīdhātvaparyantatayetyādi padacatuṣṭayaṃ,tadanantaraṃ tu kāyatrayasya śūnyataikarasatvajñāpanārthamākāśadhātvaparyantatayetyekaṃ padam | ato'nantarantu dharmasambhoganirmāṇakāyatrayasvarūpanivedanārthaṃ vijñānadhātvaparyantatayetyādi padatrayam | tadanantaraṃ ca sambhārāṣṭādhimuktibodhisattvatathāgatabhūmiṣu dharmakāyasya yathābhavyaṃ vineyajanapratiṣṭhāpanakarmaparidīpanārthaṃ sarvadharmānupalabdhitayetyādi padacatuṣṭayaṃ veditavyamityayaṃ samudāyārthaḥ | padārthastu vibhaktaprāya eveti na punarvibhajyate | āryadharmodgatādhiṣṭhānena svapraṇidhipuṇyajñānabalācca śrutacintāmayajñānotpādakrameṇa yathoktāṣṭābhisamayasvabhāvaprajñāpāramitādeśanākārāḥ samādhayaḥ | svapnāvasthāyāmiva tāvatkālapratibhāsāḥ sadāpraruditabodhisattvasyotpannā ityāha | atha khalu sadāpraruditasyetyādi | yasmin samādhau vyavasthitaḥ sarvadharmasamatāṃ pratipadyate sa sarvadharmasamatā nāmaḥ samādhirevaṃ sarvadharmaviviktaśca nāma samādhirityādi vācyam | sarvathā tu yathānirdiṣṭaprajñāpāramitālambanasamādhīnāmadhigamarūpeṇa dṛḍhapratibhāsitvesūtravirodhaḥ | tathā hi prathamena kalpāsaṃkhyeyena sambhārabhūmimārabhya yāvatprathamā bhūmirniṣpadyate dvitīyena tu vimalābhūmimupādāya yāvatsaptamī bhūmiḥ,tṛtīyena punaḥ kalpāsaṃkhyeyenācalābhūmimārabhya yāvadbuddhabhūmirityevaṃ tribhiḥ kalpāsaṃkhyeyairbuddhatvamadhigamyata iti yathārutameva sūtraṃ virudhyate | trikasāmānyāt tribhiḥ kalpāsaṃkhyeyairityuktaṃ na punaḥ paramārthata ityevaṃ neyārthasūtravyākhyāne nitarāmeva virodhaḥ | tathā hi sambhārabhūmimāpūrayannekaṃ kalpāsaṃkhyeyamatikrāmati,tadanantaramadhimukticaryābhūmiṃ niṣpādayan kalpāsaṃkhyeyadvayamatināmayati | tadanu pramuditābhūmimupādāya yāvaddharmameghāṃ bodhisattvabhūmiṃ pratyekaṃ tribhistribhiḥ kalpāsaṃkhyeyairbodhisattvo niṣpādya samantaprabhāṃ buddhabhūmimāsādayatītyevaṃ trayastriṃśatā kalpāsaṃkhyeyairbuddhatvaṃ prāpyata  ityācāryavasubandhupādāḥ | yathoktāṣṭābhisamayātmakaprajñāpāramitādeśanālambanasamādhibalādbahūni samādhimukhāni prathamāyāmeva bhūmāvadhigatānītyādi | evaṃ pramukhānītyādi | atra samādhyabhinirhāropāyā eva samādhimukhāni na tu samādhayaḥ "pramuditāyāṃ bhūmau samādhiśataṃ labhata"iti daśabhūmake'bhihitatvāt | samādhisvabhāvānyeva vā samādhimukhāni | tatra śatagrahaṇasyopalakṣaṇatvāditi pratipattavyam ||
